PSR Engineering College (PSREC) is a self-financing autonomous institution imparting quality education in the fields of Engineering and Management. It was established in 1998 in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

All the courses offered by the institute are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The total intake for the B.E./B.Tech programs is 120 seats per specialization. A total of 18 seats (each) have been approved for the ME programs, and 60 seats for MBA.

To be eligible for B.E., candidates should have passed 10+2 with PCM as subjects.
Selection will be through state-level counseling TNEA.
Minimum eligibility for PG courses is to pass Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
The selection of GATE candidates is through TANCA counseling and is given the first preference for admission to the M.E. programs. Eligible candidates have to apply for TNEA and TANCA counseling for admission to B.E. and M.E./MBA respectively.
MBA candidates are selected on the basis of TANCET score only. No other CET score is accepted for TANCA counseling for MBA candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ ST) are allowed 10% relaxation in the minimum marks eligibility criteria.
OBC candidates (including Muslims) are allowed only 5% relaxation.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to B.E./B.Tech. program is a pass in HSC or equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics taken together.

M.Tech. - Candidates seeking admission to M.E. courses must at least have a B.E./B.Tech. degree in the relevant or allied discipline with 50% marks.
PSR Engineering College Tamil Nadu M.Tech. Selection Criteria
Admission to the program will be done on the basis of- TANCET (entrance test) and partake in its respective counseling, which is also known as TANCA.
M.E. candidates with a valid GATE score are also allowed to participate in TANCA counseling provided they meet the eligibility criteria pre-specified by the University.
Note- GATE candidates are not required to take TANCET.

How to Apply for PSR Engineering College?
Candidates seeking admission under management quota can directly apply through the institute level application process, which involves collecting the application form in person by paying the prescribed application fee and submitting the same in person.
The application process through TNEA/TANCA is as follows:
- Candidates may apply for TNEA/TANCA counseling by visiting the Anna University website and filling the online application/ registration form.
- The prescribed application fee for TNEA/TANCA counseling can be paid online through various payment modes such as credit/ debit cards, internet banking, etc.
- Candidates must take a printout of the completed application form and send a copy of the same to the Director (Admissions), Anna University.
- After the declaration of the merit list, candidates must download the counseling call letter and visit the counseling venue on the assigned dates along with all relevant documents (original and photocopies) and a demand draft of INR. 5000/-
- Candidates are required to obtain a counseling form from the bank counters by showing his/her call letter and DD of the prescribed counseling fee.
- After that, in the supervision of a counselor, candidates can choose college and course preferences
- The candidate is then offered an allotment order which needs to be signed by the applicant and the demand draft for counseling fee be submitted in order to complete the allotment process.
- Subsequently, the candidate must report at the college and submit the allotment order to confirm his/her admission.
