Ques. What is the difference between B.Tech Civil Engineering (4 years) and B.Tech {Lateral} Civil Engineering (3 years) at PIET?
Ans. The regular B.Tech Civil Engineering is a 4-year programme open to 10+2 (PCM) candidates, with admission through JEE Main and HSTES counselling. The B.Tech {Lateral} is a 3-year programme exclusively for diploma holders in Civil Engineering (or related branches) or B.Sc graduates with Maths. Lateral entry students are admitted directly to the 2nd year (3rd semester), saving one year. The annual fee is the same (Rs. 1,80,000/year) for both programmes.
