Sibsagar College, Joysagar, is a college offering graduate and postgraduate courses affiliated with Dibrugarh University. Initially affiliated with Gauhati University, from 1965 until the present, the school has been affiliated with Dibrugarh University.

The school has the following scientific departments: Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Zoology, and Botany, as well as the following humanities departments: English, Assamese, Economics, Political Science, Education, History, Philosophy, and Library Science.

Sibsagar College offers three-year degree courses through Dibrugarh University in areas of arts and science. Admission is done on the basis of marks scored in 10+2 level or equivalent. The College also offers regular BCA & PGDCA programs through Dibrugarh University. Admission in BCA and PCDCA is done on “First Come First Served” basis.

Sibsagar College BA and B.Sc Admission 2023

Students, who want to pursue higher studies after 10+2 level in the field of Aand Science may do so as Sibsagar College offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in various specializations. The duration for each of the specializations is three years and intake capacity is different for different courses.

In order to take admission, first and foremost thing to do is to to successfully complete the 10+2 level or equivalent in concerned subjects. The admission process for the above mentioned courses is managed by the college itself on the basis of marks obtained in last qualifying examination. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will only be entertained, rest will be eliminated.

Sibsagar College BCA & PGDCA Admission 2023

Apart from B.Sc and BA offered by the college at undergraduate level, Sibsagar College also provides Bachelor of Computer Application for a duration period of three years. The college also offers one year programme of Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue Computer Applications after Bachelor’s Degree.

Candidates seeking admission in BCA & PGDCA should be well aware of the fact that the college follows “First Come First Served” policy for taking eligible candidates into its college. However, candidates who have qualified their last examination in relevant discipline are only liable to apply.

Key Points:

For admission in BCA, a relaxation of 5% of marks is given to SC/ST candidates in comparison to 45% of marks in case of General category candidates
For admission in PGDCA, 40% marks in aggregate is required

I took this college because this college chemistry department is well known in our region , with great faculty. Also as this college is near to my home it is quite economic for me to attend classes , Moreover I like the campus as it is located near the historical sites of Assam Admission process is easy we just have to apply in samarth portal first then attend the admission offline

The Sibsagar college life

Admission:

I also applied to JB college,Jorhat. And get seat in there also.But i come here because its environment is so good and i like to go far for college life. Jb college is near my home but Sibsagar college is far. So i come here and also get the opportunity to stay in hostel. The admission process of our college is very simple. If you have name on merit list the come to student go to the place where admission is going on take form and fill up. And done. Cutoffs for admission goes down to 59% in science,but different in various departments and my overall admission experience was very good.

I choose Sibsagar College Joysagar then others colleges because it was in my hometown and a very renowned college of sibsagar which have very good facilities and passing ratios of students. Sibsagar College is good for mathematics and I want to do B.Sc in mathematics.

Admission:

You should pass the HS exam in the science stream. If you get on the merit list then you can admission to this course. You can apply in the e-samarath portal. And the application fee is Zero rupees. I answered it in the previous slide. The government E-Samarath portal is not okay. Their merit list release is not okay. It should improve.

My humble college life in sibsagar college

Admission:

The eligibility for this course was 70% and I got 76% so yeah eligible for it. The application form can be found at the college website, and there were no fees, I think. I don't fall into the reservation category, so idk about that. It is good for students if the exams are frequent. 2 sessional exams before the end-of-semester exam. There's no need for improvement.

Sibsagar College and Now Sibsagar University a brief Description.

Admission:

If you want to take admission in English department than you should get minimum 75% in your 12 class, CUET score will give you a weightage but admission is mainly done through 12th marks for admission you have to apply throu samarth portal of Assam Govt. There is no application fee for application and there are reservations for OBC/SC/ST/EWS. The difficulty of exam is a little because this is the best college in upper Assam and if you depend on cheating for passing the exams than don't come to this college.
