Established in the year 1996 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Nehru College of Management (NCM) is promoted by Nehru College of Educational and Charitable Trust. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

The college is known for offering MBA, MCA and Ph.D in different disciplines of management studies and computer applications.

MBA admission is granted on the basis of a graduate degree in any stream and the selection of the candidates is based on the score of CAT/ CMAT/ TANCET along with the performance in GD and personal interview.

MCA requires the candidates to have a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects for admission. The selection for admission to MCA is done on the basis of TANCET score. 

Candidates seeking admission in Ph.D are required to have a Master’s degree in relevant subjects with minimum 55% marks and admission to Ph.D will be granted on the basis of UGC NET score.

Nehru College of Management offers two PG Programs under different disciplines of specializations viz. MBA & MCA. 

Eligibility:

The basic criterion to take admission in any of these two courses is to have obtained a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks. However, for MCA, Mathematics is a compulsory subject till graduation level.

Selection Process:

Selection of the candidates in MBA is based on the score of CAT/ CMAT/ TANCET while for MCA, it is TANCET qualification only, followed by GD and PI.

Key Points:

• Candidates possessing BCA/ B.Sc. (IT/ Computer Applications) degree are eligible for Lateral Entry in MCA 2nd year directly.
• Those who appeared for the final year of the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply for these PG Programmes.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC categories are given a relaxation of 5% to the aggregate of the qualifying examination.
• Reservations to SC/ ST/ OBC categories are granted as per the guidelines of the State Government and Government of India.

Nehru College of Management offers doctoral degree in management studies and computer applications. 

Eligibility: 

For Ph.D, candidates must have obtained a Master's degree in relevant subjects with minimum 55% marks.

The candidates are selected on the basis of merit in M.Phil in relevant subjects or UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ SLET/ JRF Fellowship and so on.

Key Points:

• Ph.D programs are available both in full-time and part-time modules.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories are awarded with a relaxation of 5% to the aggregate score of qualifying examination.
• For part-time candidates, a working experience of minimum 2 years as a full –time teacher, Research Assistant/ Technical Assistant/ Graduate Technicians/ Non-Teaching staff in the Universities/ Institutions/ Colleges or Recognised Industrial Organizations/ Joint Stock Companies/ Banking/ Financial Institutions/ Consultancy Organizations is a must.
• Candidates must have a ‘No-Objection’ certificate from the employer.
