There was an entrance test called NATA that I had to pass to be eligible for admission here. I gave the exam, and passed it. Then that score plus my 10+2 score was considered for the merit list, and I got in.
After completing my B.Arch I decided to take up M.Arch for better exposure into architecture. Taking up the course at RV was my second best decision. Usually one can get through GATE or PGCET exam for this course. One must complete B.Arch with minimum 50% in academics along with good score in either of the above mentioned exams.
To seek admission in RVCA you have to visit the university website and fill the online admission form with your marks in KARNATAKA-PGCET which is very important. After that, if you are selected in the college you have to visit it and submit your document.
I have always been passionate about architecture and getting into RV College of Architecture was a dream come true. I got in through Management Quota. For that, I had to qualify NATA with a mininum score of 80 out of 200. You can also get in if you qualify JEE Paper 2. After that, there would be counseling where you would be allotted a college. Along with that you need to have 70% marks in Mathematics and Science each in the 10th grade and 65% in Mathematics and English each in the 12th grade. There are 2 other ways to get into the college. One is through COMED-K and the other is through K-CET merit list.
I had completed my Bachelor degree in Architecture from this college only, and I was fascinated by the experience, so I gave the GATE entrance test, and applied for M.Arch. here. My score was good enough, so I got in.
I got admission through CET (Common Entrance Test). First I wrote the test, I updated my result to the CET Council using the board mark, and then they ranked me, and then I completed the option entry process for the colleges I was assigned to, and then they announced the seat allocation results.
Since I am a resident of Karnataka, I applied through KCET (KARNATAKA DOMICILE).
The documents that needed to be submitted are
1. My NATA score that is valid.
2. I submitted my merit certificate of 10+2 examination.
The admission in B.Arch depends upon the entrance examination NATA to enroll in the college also students who are applying through management quota can give NATA and JEE Paper-2 entrance examination.
I have had a thrilling journey at the college. The teachers were really helpful and I am still in contact with few of them. The course did get pretty hectic over the years but it was worth the hard work. There is a lot of extra expense for things like stationary and printouts. The overall experience for me has been rewarding.
The students who are enrolling in the M.Arch course should have cleared the entrance examination PGCET and GATE. The reserved category students get a rebate of 5% at the time of admission in the course.
