It was the best ranked college in Karnataka in 2016 accredited by NBA and 33rd ranked all over India. Apart from these it was centrally located in Bangalore and had good hostel facility, infrastructure was also good and my interaction with other students at college was positive. It was one of the oldest colleges in Karnataka and my uncle studied long back in here so that pulled me in to join this college.
It is a wonderful place to study. It has provided me with so much experience and life lessons that I would carry on my entire life and I'm truly greatful that I got to be a part of this wonderful college.
No negative remarks as of now. Because everything runs smoothly and there are no other disturbances in the college. There is no ragging. Ragging is completely banned here. Students here live like siblings.
The college is overall pretty good for circuit branches but they need to work on the mechanical and industrial branch about the placements and the college should provide more funding for the fest, the fest is not good at all and should have more sports activities.
It's a very good autonomous college for circuit engineering branches. There is huge batch classes and more students get admitted in to the college in mechanical engineering but the placement opportunities are very less compared to the batch size.
A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
Entrance Exam: KEA / COMEDK
The college is good overall, studies and extracurricular activities are better than any of the college in Bangalore. The negative side is that the college fees is much expensive and a middle class family can't afford it that easily.
The Facilities in our college are really talented, supportive, motivating and friendly. This college has its own way of updating students for their incredible growth. Placement here are good enough and top MNC's are recruiting skilled students. Entrepreneurship are really encouraged and college does its support to students to motivate their interest.
The college is an amazing place to learn and grow. It's also a place where many friendships happen and remain for life. Ramaiah teaches so many aspects of life that help us become better every day.
Good college, one of the top-ranked engineering colleges in India as well as in Bangalore. but somewhat poor in infrastructure it shares boundaries with the medical college, everything is easily accessible because college lies in middle of the city.
