The college's placement scenario is generally not favorable, with limited on-campus opportunities and lack of professional courses being significant drawbacks. Although a placement cell exists, it is reported that no companies regularly visit for recruitment. Some students, specifically from non-medical and postgraduate courses like Geology, receive placement information. Despite claims of over a lakh students placed, only a small percentage secure desired jobs annually.
The college does not offer internships, as these are managed by Jammu University. A few students achieve high packages, such as 20 lakhs annually, but overall, students often need to seek job opportunities independently, typically through competitive exams for fields like banking or central jobs. The college hosts seminars and debates, which may offer indirect career benefits.
