City College... from the perspective of a simple student.

Admission:

I chose this college because it has a reputation to be one of the best colleges in the Kolkata city under Calcutta University. The admission process is not much difficult. The eligibility is to be 12 pass under any recognised board. No admission exam is required.

A college with all the facilities.

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. I chose City college because classes are conducted regularly here. I got rejected by Jaipuriya and Goenka for high cut offs. The admission process of our college is completely online. One who has passed his 12th from any recognised board with minimum 60 percent can apply for course.

City College Physics Department

The main motive to get this college is for my subject that is Physics. Here the Physics department is 100+ year old and very reputated. And also the fee structure here is also very good and can be manageable for the students. City College takes less amount of money rather than other colleges.

Those nice college days

I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list. There are 2 or sometimes 3 lists are out for admission list. If you want to go with honours then you need 85 to 90 percent because seats are very limited

City College - The college of dreams

Well, I applied for Bethune college, Bangabasi College, Seth Anandram Jaipuria College and City College. Out of which my name came on the merit list of all the college but I chose City College because it was very convenient for me to travel there. I was not rejected from any on the college I applied. The eligibility criteria for City College is atleast 50% marks in board exam. Though the cutoff are quite high and ranges between 100-70 in the particular subject you are opting for

Kolkata Heritage:City College

When I took admission in City College,I opted for other colleges too(all were government aided colleges),I didn't have money to take admission in luxurious private colleges.The other colleges I opted for,were quite far from my home and the transportation is quite complex while City College is quite easy to reach with various transportation mediums available for all.Also City College is one of the oldest colleges in Kolkata and the building looks absolutely vintage.So I chose City College over other colleges I opted for.

In Bcom Honours the total capacity was 330 students. the students are required to fill up the admission form on the college website and wait for the merit list to be announced. Once published then different dates are allotted to the students to pay the fees and take admission

Our college is totally awesome

The process of admission was normal like others, the eligibility of my course was 60 % above in Accounts and aggregate 60% In the official website of the institute , we find the application form, application fees ,and application date . The timing of the exam is delayed this time , and the level of difficulty is 8 out 10 . The process of admission took too much time , so I think it should not take too much time for it ,
