The First scholarship is the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme, which is offered to students belonging to the Below Poverty Line.

- Maximum 5% of the total B.Tech seats are reserved under this scheme.
- These seats are supernumerary in nature, meaning they are over and above the regular intake.
- Candidates selected under this category will receive a tuition fee waiver.

KIIT Merit Scholarship

Teaching Assistantship (For M.Tech Students)
Candidates pursuing M.Tech programs at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology are subject to receive a Teaching Assistantship, where they assist faculty in teaching, maintain laboratories, and assist in research and development activities. Students are required to work 8 to 10 hours per week.
The renewal of assistantship is based on two stages: First, after completion and result declaration of the first semester, and second, after the completion and result declaration of the second semester. To continue teaching assistantship at KIIT Bhubaneswar, students must obtain at least a CGPA of 6.5 in 1st semester and a CGPA of 7 in the second semester.
