Ans. The Training and Placement Cell at GIET, Bhubaneshwar conducts the placement training from the first to the fourth year. During the first year, students are trained in Communicative English (from the BPUT syllabus) and personality development for interviews.
During the second year, Cambridge’s BEC Ventage is conducted as a finishing course. The students are also tutored on accent, Java and .NET platforms. As a part of the summer training, they also visit industries during this time.
In the third year, the training shifts to Arithmetic, Reasoning, and General English. Advanced training happens for technical and HR interviews. Moreover, the students can also learn group discussion techniques and enroll in GATE coaching. In the fourth (final) year, they must attempt a mock test before the onset of the campus placement drive.
