GMC Raigarh Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is really good in anatomy and biochemistry but bad in physiology for 1st year students. In anatomy 1 faculty demonstrate or teach 33 students and in dissection hall 1 faculty guids 10 students there are lots of faculty in anatomy as well as biochemistry. The faculty I liked the most is our Dr kundu sir as he likes discipline, professionalism and he is a perfect professor, honest ,excellent teaching skill with great communication,freindly, fearless and so on . In 1st year their are many internal exam like 1st internal and 2nd internal each of 150 marks per subject including half of syllabus and 1 pre University of 300 marks each subject with full syllabus and final one is University exam of total 900 including 300 marks each subject with 200 marks theory and 100 marks practical.

As I told you faculty to student ration when it was for 50 students only, that was good, but for 100 students ratio is not that good. Credentials is also a problem as good faculty would not be living in some peripheral colleges but this is wide view, some faculties are really great. Interaction is also good, rather much better than any other college.

Every subject has one HOD and 2-3 associate professors. We get to learn in different ways with different teachers. Additionally, we have senior residents. The college also provides PG courses. Teachers are always available when you need them.

After being taught from them for quite some time I can say that the teachers in our college are quite dedicated and experienced in regards to the task in hand. Understand the needs of the medical discipline and make sure that the younger generation that is we the students get to know each and everything with all the sophistication.

The faculty of the college is very dedicated and hardworking. They work day and night to provide notes to the students, give proper description of the basic concepts and also clear the doubts of the students. They are very helpful and cooperative
