Student Experience at NIFT

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in the final semester,.i.e, semester 8. Different companies dealing with various streams visit colleges, providing a number of offers. For example, Reliance, Titan, Samsung and other smaller companies depending on the vacancies. The average package would be 3,00,000 - 6,00,000 and the highest would be 17,00,000- 18,00,000. Almsot 30% - 50% students get placed and get an average package. I plan to pursue my masters after the degree.

Great Experience at NIFT

Student Snaps:

The placements are avialable for 4rth year students. It starts around 8th sem middle and a lot of companies come for placements. Well the ratio of getting placed is less. But the college adds us to official whatsapp groups after graduation and keeps seniding job opportunities forever.

NIFT KANNUR - the irreplaceable chapter in my life

From 8 th semester we can go for placements.for placements we are supposed to go to campus in delhi and bangalore. There are less chances of getting placements .The highest package will be more than 2 lakhs

Whole about NIFT

From the 8th sem students will be qualified to get the placements campus will provide but better we find our own . Lot of the fashion related companies will come and the minimum cgpa to attent the panel is 8.4 . Only 50 %Syed ente will get placement . most of the students are doing their own business . But if you apply your own ther is a huge chance to get it fast

LIFE AT NIFT KANNUR

Campus placements are for students who are in semester 8 which means the fourth year the top recruiting companies are arvind lifestyle brands limited bata India limited h&m Manyavar etc the highest package offered was 6 to 7 lakhs per annum and the lowest paid was 2 lakhs per annum average package was 3 to 4 lakhs per annum job profiles offered are merchandiser production manager ie executive etc 99 percent of students got placements after completing my degree may I opt for masters or may search for a good company

Campus have high rate of placement in fashion industry. 90% of students after completion of course got placement. Students got placement through centralised placement conducted for NIFT students in different part of the country. most recruiting companies are AND design, Arvind Brand , BlackBerry Clothing and so on.

I'll be honest, I guess this is the only field where people have a wide option of internship opportunities. From digital illustrations to fashion bloggers and fashion managing intern to creative writers, we are capable of it all. The college helped me in getting an internship at POPxo as a fashion writing intern. The job is quite decent as well, the stipend completely depends on individual skills and experiences and may hike up to 13 L p.a

It has excellent faculty members

NIFT provides better placements in the fashion industry than any other fashion institute. However, in the previous year, the placement percentage went down drastically to around 30% only. College says that this was because many students got offers through pre-placement outside and some didn't attend for placements for reasons like pursuing higher studies or some planned to open a start-up their own. Among the recruiting company, most of them were start-ups and emerging brand and hardly any popular established brands. The average salary package offered was around 3 LPA, but it was somewhat higher for other departments. Students who have knowledge about graphic designing were preferred for internships. The college provides internship opportunities at the end of the 3rd year.

Regular industry visit/field visit for better exposure and experience gain.

Nift is providing good placements; in the past, they have also provided good placements. At NIFT kannur we will get placements, but not for every student and we will get a chance to work with designers. In nift kannur you can explore the companies and the job offers they are making.
