My experience in Dr. D. Y. Patil University

Faculty:

Faculty is good I can say. They teach with a passion. All are graduated from higher universities. And talking about faculty student relationship. They are very friendly with us. Like they are our bestfriends. They guide is on every turn. Whether it's about studies and life. There are 5-6 professors for 1st and 2nd to teach us BA. And after 3rd year there are 7-8 professors to teach us LLB. It's and 5years integrated course so. But i didn't find any problem with faculty members they are all good. Specially my favourite faculty member is our political science teacher and our librarian and principal sir. Political science sir are very student friendly. They teach us with a passion. Talks with us. Helps us in organizing events and fests etc. and librarian helps us with other things. Providing us books guidance and everything. The special thing about our principal is they don't deny us for anything. If we go in there office for funding of any event they allow us for everything. Their guidance is very important for us.

A comprehensive review of Dr. DY Patil law college's curriculum and padagogical gaps

Likes

the teachers attempts to engage students by organising sessions on recent law updates and encourage students to participate in moot court competitions
the college offers plethora of opportunities to enhance public speaking, research, and communications which is crucial in law.

Dislikes

the faculty of BA is not well versed and uses regional language as a method of delivery.

The curriculum is a bit irreleavt for students aspiring for an integrated law course. It defeats the objective of integrated course as Pune University's course scructure is as follows: for the first two years there are only four subjects i.e. English, Political Science, Sociology, and Economics. And then from the third year the no. of subjects increases from four to five and all of these are subjects pertaining to various laws which were to be taught from the first year itself. Regardless of the curriculum the faculty is very helpful and supporting , they are very approachable as a personal mentor to each and every studenst and encourages students to particiapte in various competitions and is readily available to help students in all maters regardless of studies.

An affordable and nice college as a last option for pursuing law.

The faculty is very less as compared to total students all over the college. They are bit impartial to he OMS candidates. They mostly teach in marathi which is quiet disappointing for other students who don't understand the language. The faculty which i liked the most are Prof. Sagar Verma, Prof. Vijeta, Prof. Samruddhee Shah and Prof. Arjun are good teaching staffs. There are no mid semester exams which is i consider important to make it easy to learn for the final semester. They only take the final end semester exams which is two in a year. Not a lot of study material is provided in the library and not even provided by the teachers except the mentioned above.

College and the information

The college atmosphere i liked most. The teachers and lectures are very good. the teachers are very polite, they focused on every student while teaching.
The teaching quality of this college is just perfect.

The law teaching staff is perfect. All teachers focused on their lecture and as well as on students while teaching, each and every concept clear by teachers. College staff are very polite. They arrange problem solving sessions every week.

Excellent College

College faculty is good and very helpful, age of lectures lies between 25-50. They all are well qualified with phds. The teaching staff is really helpful and always available to help out a student when in doubt there is a very good and a particular hierarchy.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Law College

The college has no professors, there are four ad hoc assistant professors assigned for every subject. The command over the English language even of the English Faculty is pathetic, some faculty are quiet helpful though, but you cannot expect much from the faculty here.

Description of my college

Faculty is very nice. Each teachers are very helpful and they clear the doubts. They are very friendly. Office staffs are also nice but most of the time one willl be absent because going out of the college work only.
