Faculty:

Minimum of 1 core faculty/course incharge and 1 visiting faculty for each course. Marks are giving according to assignments, they have more weightage. Juries for external grading. Certain courses have tests.

The quality of courses is good and faculty is also fine

The faculty here are fine. There are enough faculty for the courses and sometimes they even bring visiting faculties. All the visiting faculties are great and are wonderful in teaching. The college faculties have a love hate relationship with the rest of the students were some are beloved and the same ones are hated

Reality check

Jury is conducted in each semester. 1st sem is very chill .As you proceed jury does become more tricky.They ask you questions and might catch on something which slips away from your tongue. If your confident then it is chill

Faculty members are experienced. the quality taught is not adequate with the amount of fees we are required to pay considering all additional expenses for materials are on us. The faculty tends to overlook everything as design is hands on and students are supposed to do their assignments

Life at SID

Communication with faculty was easy as they are friendly and open

So there are number of faculties for every course that u choose, very friendly and easily approchable. The teacher ratio is around 1:6. Exam system includes jury at the end of a semester. It tests ur overall knowledge and questions are asked and your portfolio is judged accordingly.

The Faculty: The faculty is quite dead at this point a lot of good teachers with real life practical experience have left while in UIUX department.

Faculty members are under qualified for their job from a teaching point of view. They are also not upto date with UIUX of today and focus mostly on User Research papers and how to get that validated and published. We don't have exams and each course is marked and last on an average two weeks. One course at one time and at the end of each sem there is an External Jury to which we are made to present our projects.

The flow of creativity starts at symbiosis

The faculty is great in case of teaching, helping if any doubt and very friendly

In product design there are only 35 seats and it makes easy for teachers and students to be connected and can clear every doubt in our course. The HOD of Product design is prassanna sir he is great, he is funny, interactive. In one year there are 2 jury, jury is a interview of a student about there own assignments. The jury is conducted on the end of the sem and it is conducted by externals

Symbiosis Institute of Design: Your best college life

The faculty. The faculty there is really good, they're always behind you to perfect yourself and become the best in their course

• The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:3. Like there are 220 students in my batch and we have 6 sections with 2 sections sitting in one classroom. Every class have 4-5 faculty members to guide and supervise every student. You can go to them anytime you want and you'll get the guidance and support you want. • We have jury exams at the end of each semester (in design schools you don't have written exams, you have jury). So, you have jury exams which is not very difficult if you actually know your work.

The best, supportive and interactive faculty and staff members

Firstly SID has the best faculty as everyone is the best in their own possible ways. Faculty is much more approachable that expected that at anytime of the day it is very supportive, kind and helpful and the students and faculty is not restricted to its area only like student of any specialization can approach any faculty of any other specialization and there's no discrimination of that they treat everyone equally . In design college there is no exam there is jury (externals comes to college for the examination of ecah student personally)There is only one jury at the end of the sem which is only practical no theroy but the jury members can ask viva related to your work. As such no student fails unless and until he/she is not prepared and didn't work or paid attention in class or didn't submit the assignment at all or on time for the whole sem because jury is something the mix of all what you did the whole sem.

Faculty was highly qualified All are from reputed IIT's and Ph.D qualified. Strong knowledge in technical subjects and several journals are published by them. They are friendly and always and always helpful whenever required.
