Started in 1955, Indian Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the institute is affiliated to Maharashtra University, Nasik.The institute is recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), New Delhi. AIIPMR offers several courses from Bachelors to Masters. It also offers fellowship programme, diplomas and doctorate degrees too.

Higher Secondary Examination qualified students can apply for the bachelors course and graduation degree holders can apply for the post graduation courses.

Admission to the courses will be based on the marks secured in NEET.

AIIPMR BPO Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics are as follows:

Passed 12th Std./10 +2 examination with English as a medium/subject
For general category: Should have minimum 50 % Marks in PCB, 40% for Sc/ST/OBC and 45% for PH or any other Examination recognized as equivalent thereto by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Appeared for NEET and must be qualified.

Candidates applying for MPO/MOT/MPT/ Fellowship Programme courses should meet the following eligibility criteria:

Interested candidates willing to apply for any course should follow the below steps and submit the following documents along with the application form as mentioned below. Candidate interested to apply any course need to follow the following steps

Download the application form from the official website
Pay the processing and application fee.
Place the application form and the fees in an envelope.
Affix the envelope with a postal stamp
Write your name, course name, Demand draft or Pay order, and candidate’s contact number.
Send the envelope through a speed post.

Documents required:

Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or Photocopy of Valid Passport or Domicile Certificate or Birth Certificate to prove that the candidate is an Indian.
Photocopy of Adhaar Card
SSC or equivalent Board Certificate displaying your DOB.
12th Mark-sheets of First to Final year.
Under Graduation Certificate
Migration Certificate and Caste Certificate

Ques. Does the institute provide hostel facility?

Ans. Yes, the institute provides hostel facility. Those who require hostel facility should go and apply for it through the institute website by filling the application form and paying the relevant fees. So, the total hostel fees that needs to be paid at the beginning: INR 6600. Refunds will be given at the end of the course.

Ques. What are the fee payment modes?

Ans. The institute accepts on Demand Draft or Pay Order drawn in favor of ‘Director, AIIPMR’ Payable at Mumbai from any nationalized bank. The institute doesn’t accept any other modes of payments, except the aforementioned payment modes.

Ans. Yes, internship is mandatory for every course. Candidates who’s applying for a specific course should endure a 6 months internship. This will aid him/her to understand the subject in practical terms. However, a six-month internship is listed in the eligibility criteria, which needs to be full-filled to get an admission in the institute.
