National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Hyderabad Course Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

NIRDPR offers a one-year full-time residential course Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management. Candidate must qualify for the All India test conducted by NIRDPR to be eligible for the program. 

Shortlisted candidates based on the scores submitted, will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Reservation of seats is followed as per the norms of the government of India. i.e;

• 10% of the seats are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section(GEN-EWS), 
• 15% for the Scheduled Caste, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) 
• 27% for the Other Backward Classes belonging to the “ Non Creamy layer”. 
• And 5% reservations for Persons with Disabilities in each category.

NIRDPR offers 2 years full-time residential course Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management. The programme is AICTE-approved and is divided into trimesters.

How to Apply for PGDM-RM in NIRDPR?

Candidates need to apply through the online portal for registration. The last date for online submission is April 21, 2025 (Tentatovely).

Documents Required

• Valid registration/application number of any Management admission entrance test
• Valid and active e-mail ID
• Valid mobile number for verification and future contact
• Demand draft of INR 400 for the general category and INR 200 for the reserved category

NIRDPR offers 18 months of post-graduation diploma courses

• PG Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD)
• PG Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM). 
• PG Diploma in Geo-Spatial Technology Applications in Rural Development (PGDGARD)

The programs are correspondence course that is approved by AICTE. Proficiency in English is a pre-condition for admission

Course fee

• For PGDSRD and PGDTDM programs, the total fee for General and OBC candidates is INR 16,500/- and for SC/ST/PwD students, the fees will be INR 14,850/-.
• For the PGDGARD program, the total fee for General and OBC category students is INR 19,800/- and for SC/ST/PwD students, the fees will be INR 16,500/-
• The fees need to be deposited online in two equal instalments i.e. on commencement of the first and second semester respectively
• Sponsored candidates need to deposit the entire fee at the time of admission itself
• For NRI students, the total fee is US $ 1700, which needs to be deposited online at the time of admission itself

How to Apply for PGDM (Distance) programs in NIRDPR?

Admission notifications are released in September/October. Candidates need to follow the following steps for admission:

• Candidates need to download the brochure from the official website
• Apply online through the link given
• For General/OBC students, the application fee is INR 500 and for SC/ST/PH candidates the fee is INR 300, which needs to be paid via online payment gateway
• Submit the form along with fees and supporting educational documents required before the last date
• Applications will be screened by the authority and selected students will receive printed study materials

Note:

• If selected, candidates will be intimated over E-mail/ post individually. 
• The merit list of finally selected candidates will be displayed on the Institute's Website.
• Students need to pay the fee within the given date and furnish scanned copies of documents and certificates of the program. If the candidates do not produce that within the given schedule of admission, their candidate will be considered cancelled. 
• Applications will be screened by the authority and selected students will receive printed study materials.

NIRDPR in association with University of Hyderabad jointly offers 1 year’s correspondence course Diploma programme on Panchayati Raj Governance & Rural Development (DP-PRGRD). The courses is divided into two semesters with 28 credits in total. The medium of instructions will be English.

Course fee

• The total course fee is INR 12,000/- for GEN/ OBC/ OBC and INR 9,000/- for SC/ ST/ PwD.
• The fees need to be deposited online in two equal instalments i.e. on commencement of the first and second semester respectively
• For NRI students, the total fee is US $ 1700, which needs to be deposited online at the commencement of the first semester itself

NIRDPR DP-PRGRD Eligibility

• A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline.
• Current and former elected representatives & officials of PRIs are eligible to apply
• Existing trainers associated with SIRDPRs and partnership institutions of NIEDPR are eligible to apply
• Government officials (retired and working), NGO executives as well as academicians, students interested in PR governance are eligible to apply

NIRDPR DP-PRGRD Selection Criteria

Selection for the program is done based on the marks scored at the graduation level and relevant experience the candidate holds. Once the candidate is selected they need to complete the admission process within the mentioned schedule in the selection letter.

How to Apply for DP-PRGRD in NIRDPR?

• Eligible candidates need to apply online on the official website
• Upload attested photocopies of mark sheets, degree certificates and other required educational documents along with a filled application form
• For General/OBC students, the application fee is INR 500 and for SC/ST/PwD candidates the fee is 300, which needs to be paid via online payment gateway
• Submit the form
• Selected candidates will be informed via post and also be displayed on NIRDPR website
• Candidates need to pay the fees within the given timeframe
• Document verification will be done at the time of contact classes till then it will be considered provisional
