Life as a med student in jgmch

Likes

I really liked the faculty , the new lecture theatre, and facilities such as cadaver for dissection, labs , the principal is also very understanding and supportive here, since it is located near the forest we feel very much at peace and view is good
Social interaction with batchmates and seniors are good
The infrastructure is amazing , it looks very majestic

Dislikes

Since the campus is under construction, there are lots of workers around everytime
Lift haven't started yet even though it is built completely, we have to use stairs which is tiring
Nooce of tractors and jcb sometimes make it difficult for you to study and focus

Since its a government medical college ww all have to do paid internship here it will give us a lot of experience and help us to become better doctor in future Since its a government college it will be of full of opportunities and a good source of learning as i visit hospital for posting i notice that it is always very crowded and has all sort of patients which will provide us with lot of new experience and knowledge.

Good environment. Good seniors.hostel beest
Good hostel . Good mess . Good behavior.
Teachers are ok ok but some teachers are not good

Dislikes

Anatomy department worst . Many many students fail
Biochemistry department best . All pass .
Physiology department ok ok . Teachers are good

Internships Opportunities:

After final year it is mandatory internship at your very own college here you get lots of patients and so muct disease that ease your pg preparation. The departments are available here to tech you. Overall you can ease your clinical exposure

Likes

College environment is so good and all facilities are available
The college campus is also in a good environment
Faculties of this college is so helpful and always available for us

Dislikes

There is no proper college ground for evening time pass
The college campus is middle in the rural areas
Markets are approx one kilometre so we have to walk to go to market

Internships Opportunities:

After completing the academic session students are promoted to internship in where they are taught the field work under the guidance of health professionals. The health professionals are so students friendly and the teach us well

Our college has good quality infrastructure
Our college has boys and girls ratio is 3:2
Our college has beautiful well decorated lecture theatre and auditorium

Dislikes

Our college has not play ground to play and roam around
Our college has only one canteen which is very much busy
The behaviour of our hospital staff is not very good

Internships Opportunities:

The internship in of 1 yr and it is 6 months for rural and 6 months for urban in the hospital, and stipend we get during internship is 30000 per month by the west Bengal government, the internship differentiate a doctor from a PhD in biology students and it well prepares a doctor for the service

Likes

The campus is neat and clean......hygienic
All the teaching and nonteaching staffs are friendly and helpful..
Batchmates are very nice and very much helpful..

Dislikes

As a new college infrastructure is not complete..
There is no sufficient facility around the college campus..
Hostel foods are not hygienic and not good..

Internships Opportunities:

We have 1year internship programme in Jhargram government medical college and hospital.. Stipend is around 32000/month...we have to work as a junior doctors.. And there is variable duty hours of 8hours 12 hours even 72 hours..

My college

Likes

Study in our college is good as there are many teachers in all departments but sometimes it's too boring. I think all the medical Colleges are same in it.
Campus is good though construction work are till now going. There is many trees around the campus.
Hostel facilities are good.Now our hostel is not completed so we have to share a small room with another student.

Dislikes

Library is not so good till now, not so much books are available.
Hostel work should be completed as we faced problems for room's small size.
Canteen food is good but if it becomes more good then better.

Internships Opportunities:

West Bengal govt offer internship in our course. Duration is 1 year. Stipend is around 30k but we have to work day and night. Very pressure in internship in all govt medical colleges. There is many projects happen in our classroom by our faculties.

Classes ar very conceptual.I understand all classes
Professor ar good they teach us very good
Academic is good and sports ar involved in college

Dislikes

No playground is present for playing it is problem
College class room seating chair ar very bad
The college lift system is not started yet.

Jhargram government medical College and hospital provide intership program for us for 1 year which is very good thing. The stipends in intership mat be 28000 ( twenty thousand) . For doctor intership is very important because they need practice.

Our college campus area is very large and all the departments building in the same premises.
Our professors are very helpful and specially professors are friendly.
Our hostel accomodation quite good. Different hostels provide for girls and boys .our batch include 39 girls and 61 boys .

Dislikes

The college campus is outside the town that's why little bit problem in daily life.
Our college playground are not ready , so our physical exercise is not yet daily basis.
Our college campus is under construction,so the noise is the big problem.

Internships Opportunities:

After completing the 4.5 years of this course each students will continue to be part of internship. In internship ,clinicals subject wise posting will be allotted in tha basis of 20 groups. Interns are working under junior doctors .

New opurtunity with new life

Likes

It is a new college so having new study materials.
We have a good relationship between all students
We have a good canteen facilities. Having food at a affordable price.

Dislikes

We have no seniors for guiding us in every situation.
There is no playground and comm room at all.
We have new campus so noise for construction site

We have a compulsory 1 year internship having a paid stephen. During internship we visit hospital with our senior doctors. We visit patient taking their history and it's a good opportunity for us to visit a partial disease.

Life of JGMCH

Likes

Large campus size with greenery view everywhere.
Every academic department in one building.
Professors and other stuffs er friendly most of the time.

Dislikes

This large college is under construction .
For now there is no playground inside campus.
Hostels are functional but not the lift.

Internships Opportunities:

Every student gets there internship . This is provided by west bengal government. And every student gets like ?30000 in their internship. In internship we have to work under our senior doctors in hospital and cure the patients.
