Likes

The academic structure is not really bad thet help if you want
Infrastructure is also nice such as cafe and canteen

Dislikes

Cultural events are not much and more concentration is on academics

Internships Opportunities:

Internship needs to be done in college itself so it is not really a choice but the patient load as is known for pims to be less is not that low but okay Opds work from 9 to 4:30 and are good but exposure as compared to other colleges is less

As an MBBS student their is less clinical exposure in this hospital
They should focus more on clinical things rather than theory part

We do interships in our own colleges. According to new rules of NMC we cant go for other colleges to do internships. Intership is good here as we are in hospitals so we get full clinical exposure Stipend is 10-15k per month

The faculty of teaching is bery friendly and open minded and very well qualified giving time and sincerety towards teaching both in class and in clinics
Labs are very well maintained with all equipments
Campus life is very good there is gym basketball ground volleball ground table tennis badminton court chess tournaments nukaddd natak held overall very friendly every year tgere is fest also and medical conferences

Dislikes

Student administration have less employee due to which all the work get late and slow you have to stand in ques sometimes
The canteen food is not so well upto mark it is little not handled with hygiene as frequently cockroaches seen
In the lecture theatre there is problem of ventilation and lighting also the ac don’t work very efficiently due to which it’s difficult to survive in hot summer season

Internships Opportunities:

12 month rotatory unternship is there with in all the departments and every department is very supportive in teaching and fair work life balance is given there is no bullying no harassing nurses also very helpful

The infrastructure of Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar is also very good the building and the interior.
The facilities such as hostel and mess are also upto the mark the food in mess is quite good considering that this is mess's food

Dislikes

The canteen in Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar is also shared by students and patients at the same time causing a bit difficulty

Internships Opportunities:

Here in Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar after the completion of course you have to complete 1 year of necessary internship providing you with a stipend of around Rs 10,000. However the college does not promise you of any placements.

Likes

The overall college is good. It has an old-school kind of vibe
There is too much greenery and the entrance to the college is built separately for fir opds and classes
Well-qualified professors are there. The teachers are good to go.

Dislikes

Only two canteens are there. Food items are limited.
There is no stationary store in the college the students have to go to a nearby store outside the college
The entrance to the college is too dull and needs to be improved there is no swimming pool or cricket ground in the college campus

Internships Opportunities:

After the completion of the degree, the students have to do a mandatory internship for one year during that time the students are paid a stipend of 12000. The students can learn a lot about the medical knowledge and practice on live patients.

A good college to become a good doctor

Likes

Professors are so good and intelligent. Theay teach very excellent and provide very good environment
College infrastructure is so good and college management working on it ,to make it more good

Dislikes

Library close at 10 pm . It should be open till 12 am atleast

Internships Opportunities:

After completion of 4.5 years of MBBS, there is an internship for 1 year. In this intership, students have to go to every department for one or two two months fand have to learn things from there and interact with patients, and treat patients, The Stipend of the internship is 10000 per month.

Clean, hygienic environment, access to every ward where we can interact with the patients
Our campus promotes sports too as administration organise various events regarding sports like sports day, or particular sport event
Most the faculty is very helpful, understanding and always available to lend you an ear for any kind of talks about anything

Dislikes

Sometimes administration becomes rigid for financial support during many events
Some lectures way too long to sustain and understand the whole topic and concept
Exams can come at any moment without an appropriate prior notification and it can go like 5 exams in 5 days.

Internships Opportunities:

Intership is offered by PIMS only to work as an intern for PIMS in various departments for specific time period respective to each department. You work as a team under the doctors and learn about application of your knowledge and your skills on patients
