See what Anushree, a student of BBA Media and Communication at WWI Mumbai, has to say about the admissions process

“WWI gives a degree in Media and Communication, which is rare in India. You get a TISS degree, which is great, especially if you plan to study abroad. It is a perfect blend of practical and theory knowledge. It prepares you for the real world and challenges you to become a better version of yourself. There are multiple projects that make you aware of your skills. WWI has great networks in the industry, which make it a hub of creativity. Industry experts often come to conferences, talks, and panels to interact with students. The Admission Process is simple; you need to fill out forms, give a test, and have an interview. If you pass all the stages, you'll be welcomed into the WWI family. Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized education board. Read more

See what Rizil Jain, a student of BA Visual Effects at WWI Mumbai, has to say about the admissions process

“The Admission Process is simple. We have to fill out an admission form, which can cost around 1k to fill out. Once the form is submitted, if your application is selected, you will be asked to come to the campus for a written exam and an interview. The exam for me was about filmmaking, so any other student's exam will be specific to whatever field they have sent their application in. If you are selected, you will get an email about your selection and you will be asked to send a seat confirmation amount which is around..” Read more

WWI Mumbai Admission FAQs

Ques. Are selection or entrance exams at WWI Mumbai conducted online or offline?

Ans. The entrance exams at WWI Mumbai are primarily conducted in offline mode. The admission process and entrance tests like MECAT and CAT (Creative Ability Test) are held offline at multiple centres. The application process itself is online, which entails a fee of INR 3,500.

Applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) along with appearing for the entrance exams. Candidates who qualify in the exams are then called for a Personal Interview conducted by the respective department.

Ques. What is the minimum score required to get admission to WWI Mumbai?

Ans. Admission to WWI Mumbai is not possible without securing a qualifying score in the entrance exam. The selection process at WWI Mumbai is a combination of merit in the qualifying examination and performance in the institute’s entrance exam, which includes the MECAT, CAT, followed by SOP, and a Personal Interview.

Candidates must secure at least 50 % in the WWI Mumbai exam to be eligible for admission to any of the offered courses. The entrance exam and the following selection rounds are mandatory for the final selection based on the combined performance.

Ques. Is the MECAT mandatory for UG and PG admissions to WWI Mumbai?

Ans. The MECAT is a key component of the selection process for many UG and PG courses at WWI Mumbai, but not the ultimate exam required for all programs. For most courses, including BSc in Film making, BBA in Media & Communication, and MBA in Media & Entertainment, candidates must qualify through MECAT and other required exams.

MECAT assesses logical reasoning, language skills, and media-related aptitude and is commonly required for media, communication, and film-related programs.

MECAT is mandatory for the selection process for most UG and PG courses at WWI Mumbai, but not the only requirement. Admission typically involves a combination of MECAT, CAT, SOP, and a personal interview, with variations depending on the specific course.

I selected WWI because of great in placement and industry links, professional links and portfolio building throgh internships and projects. The Faculty member comprise professionals in their respective fields, which led to a more hands on learning experiance compared to the theoretical aspects of learning at the other institutions. i applied to a few other well known college which have high fees and cutoff. The entrance too WWI involves an entrance examination that focuses on creativity and knowledge in the subjects as well as interview.
