RITM B.Tech EEE FAQs
Ques. What is the difference between EEE and ECE at RITM?
Ans. B.Tech EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) focuses more on electrical power systems, electrical machines, power electronics, and control systems, while ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) focuses more on communication systems, signal processing, VLSI, and embedded systems. EEE graduates are more suited for the power sector and heavy industries, while ECE graduates are more suited for the telecom and electronics industries.
Ques. Can B.Tech EEE graduates from RITM appear for PSU recruitment through GATE?
Ans. Yes, B.Tech EEE graduates with a valid GATE score can apply for PSU recruitment in companies like NTPC, BHEL, PGCIL, ONGC, and IOCL. GATE is the primary route for PSU recruitment for engineering graduates. RITM's AKTU affiliation ensures that the degree is recognised for GATE and PSU recruitment.
Ques. What is the scope of B.Tech EEE in the current job market?
Ans. B.Tech EEE graduates have good career prospects in the power sector, renewable energy, manufacturing, automation, and electronics industries. With India's focus on renewable energy and smart grid development, EEE graduates are in demand for solar, wind, and hydro power projects. They can also work in IT companies in roles related to embedded systems and IoT.
Ques. Is industrial training mandatory for B.Tech EEE students at RITM?
Ans. Yes, industrial training (internship) is a mandatory component of the B.Tech programme as per AKTU norms. Students are required to complete a minimum 6-week industrial training after the 3rd year. RITM's placement cell assists students in securing internships with power sector companies and manufacturing firms.
Ques. What GATE paper should B.Tech EEE graduates appear for?
Ans. B.Tech EEE graduates should appear for the GATE EE (Electrical Engineering) paper for PSU recruitment and M.Tech admissions. The GATE EE paper covers topics like Electric Circuits, Electromagnetic Fields, Signals and Systems, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, and Analog/Digital Electronics.
Ques. Can B.Tech EEE graduates from RITM pursue M.Tech at AKTU-affiliated colleges?
Ans. Yes, B.Tech EEE graduates can pursue M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related specialisations through UPTAC counselling based on GATE scores. RITM offers M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering; for M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, students may need to apply to other AKTU-affiliated colleges. The UPTAC M.Tech counselling is conducted annually.
