Faculty

To be specific in Bim department the students to faculty ratio is nice and it is also very healthy. The course coordinator Dr. SHEETAL MODY is the backbone of the department she handles the department so when and have retained it so well and the other facilities like Hemant bhaati sir, Rashmi madam, Mrunalini shingare and many more do foremost for the department and go beyond that . I don't think i dislike any faculty as such every one is nice in their own ways . We have 2 exams every semester and we have internal and external exams with 1 month gap between both the exam and passing in both the exams is Mandatory or else ATKT needed to be faced . K.P.B. Hinduja college has completely opted with the NEP policy with has no marks system but credit system SFC follow 2 subject that are 4 credit and rest all subjects are 2 credit and they are categorised as major and minor it also includes a subject CC activity where the students have to participate and visit seminar, guest lecturer etcs The BIM department to be specific has done CC activity such as visit to MCX, NISM , BSE and a seminar by CDSl , budget talk and many many such things . Passing in this subject is also mandatory as it consist of 2 credit a student can get additional credit in their progess card by joining DLLE or NSS

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of BIM is very varied as people consider BIM and BFM the same category but it is quiet different BFM studies about financial markets whereas BIM studies not only financial markets but also other investments option available in the market such as , currency, commodity market , collectables, banking scheme, bonds , debentures, mutual funds etc . The exam are conducted twice a year sem 1-2 for Fy sem 3-4 for Sy and sem 5-6 for Ty which consist written exam of both internal and external exams. The difficulty level i would say is medium the duration of exam for 4 credit subject is 2 hours and its a 60 mark paper for external and 40 marks for internals which includes 20 marks for assignment and 20 marks for written paper. Same for 2 credit subject the external is of 30 marks and 1 hour duration and internal is for 20 marks 10 for written and 10 for assignment.

Finance and Consulting: Firms like Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, McKinsey & Company, Bain, and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) regularly recruit from Harvard. Leading tech companies such as Google, Facebook (Meta), Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple actively hire from Harvard, particularly from its engineering and computer science programs.

The professors Some have written the books you’re studying from, and others, well, they just pop into your class after advising governments in their spare time. You might even end up in a debate with a future world leader and not even know it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is designed by the university. Few subjects are repetitive in nature and little outdated but the faculty tries to give a current view of the subject. The curriculum is not so rigorous there is time for the student to do extracurricular activities. Overall the curriculum is sufficient but does not push the student to think much. For self-finance courses, there is an internal assessment of 25 marks of which 5 marks are for conduct and 20 marks written exam. After internal, there are 75 marks external exam conducted by the university. The score is then normalized in SGPI out of 10. And grade is given like O for outstanding then A+, A, B+, B, C, D, E, and F is failing.

Placement Experience

Yes, the college tries to provide internships to the students with role based on their area of study. Though not all the students get the internship very few to get that internship. Monthly stipend for undergraduates ranges from 5000-7000 per month. There are not many placements as many students opt for further studies. Then too if any student wants a placement or internship students can go to the placement committee. PlaceComm invites many firms for recruitment from the pool of students. Interviews are conducted in college itself.
