Ques. What rank is needed for NIPER admission through GPAT 2026?

Ans. The GPAT is a qualifying exam to get admission in NIPER colleges, as the NIPER conducts its own JEE. Around <500 ranks are required for admission to NIPER colleges, and under 300 for top branches such as Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology in top colleges such as NIPER Mohali.

Ques. GPAT 2026 expected cutoff for good colleges like BITS Pilani or Jamia Hamdard?

Ans. In BITS Pilani, the All India Rank under 1000 is ideal for M.Pharm admissions. However, Jamia Hamdard often accepts ranks up to 3000–5000 with marks as low as 125–155, while still preferring the 90+ percentile for better chances.

Factors Affecting GPAT 2026 Cutoff

Multiple factors, including the number of participating candidates, the difficulty of the exam, and seat availability, among others, affect the GPAT cutoff. The factors that affect the GPAT cutoff are given below:

  • Participating Candidates: If the number of candidates participating in the exam is higher than the cutoff will be higher.
  • Difficulty of the Exam: If the paper is more difficult, it will reduce the overall score of the candidates, resulting in lower cutoffs.
  • Seat Availability: The cutoff will likely be lower if the seat availability is higher across the participating institutes.
  • Overall Candidate Performance: If a large number of candidates perform exceptionally well, the cutoff will rise.
  • Category-wise Reservations: The cutoff for the reserved categories will be lower than that for the unreserved or the general category.
