  • The Normalized sum of raw scores secured in each subject or paper in a single NExT step-1 exam. The Method of Normalization of the sum of raw scores across the NExT 2024 Step-I exam will be informed by the commission whenever necessary.
  • Aspirants with Lower attempts of NExT step-1 will be given a higher rank.

  • Eligibility of an Indian Medical Graduate: A Medical candidate from a recognized college by the Commission for imparting undergraduate medical education will be qualified for a Compulsory Rotating Internship given all of the following criteria- Pass each of the six Theory Papers of NExT Step-1, and Pass in III MBBS/ Final MBBS (Part 2) Clinical/ Practical Examination as authorized by the concerned University/Institution
  • Eligibility of a Foreign Medical Graduate: A medical student who passed an undergraduate medical course overseas and has met the applicable requirements given in the Foreign Medical Graduate Regulations of the Commission will be qualified for a Compulsory Rotating Internship as accepted for such candidates who meet the following criteria- Pass in each of the six Theory Papers of NExT Step 1.
  • Eligibility for allowing Licence and Registration in the State Medical Register/ National Medical Registers: Indian Medical graduate or foreign medical graduate will be qualified to be registered in the State Medical Register/ National Medical who fulfill the following criteria- Completed the proper duration of the Internship, Passed the NExT Step 2 Clinical/ Practical Examination, Fulfilling the requirements of the National Medical Commission as per the License to Practice Medicine Regulations and Registration of Medical Practitioners, and any other requirements may be regarded appropriate by the Commission as informed time to time.
  • Eligibility for admission to PG Medical Courses in Board specialty subjects in an institution or college approved by the Commission: All those candidates who have Registered in the State Medical Register/ National Medical Register and have been granted a Licence to practice and fulfill the given requirements are eligible for admission to PG Medical Courses in broad specialty subjects in a college accepted by the Commission should fulfill the given criteria- Qualified and granted Licence to practice modern system of medicine in India and fulfill the requirements given, and has participated in the manner of common counseling as given by the Commission through designated authority accepted by the Commission for the purpose.
  • Utilization of NExT Scores: The Government of India, the State Government, any other organization of the Indian Government, the State Government, or any autonomous or private institution/ body may use the NExT Step 1 score for purposes like scholarship, employment, fellowship, etc. After clearing the Final MBBS degree and successful completion of the one-year internship, an MBBS degree will be awarded to the candidates.
