The PU CET (UG) 2026 exam date was initially set for December 28, 2026, but Panjab University has postponed it. The new date is May 10, 2026 due to administrative reasons.
To be eligible for PU CET UG 2026 exam, you must have passed class 10+2 with 50% aggregate marks with English, Physics, and Chemistry. Based on your subjects, you should choose your PU CET UG paper combination (PCM or PCB). The application fee set for General category is INR 2520, and INR 1620 for SC/ST/PwD. For each additional paper, INR 500 is to be paid.
The test will be conducted in offline pen and paper based mode via OMR sheet. The medium iof PU CET UG 2026 exam will be set in a single language only, i.e., English. According to PU CET UG 2026 exam pattern, 60 questions are asked in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The sectional time limit set for each subject is 70 minutes. As per PU CET UG 2026 marking scheme, +2 marks are given for correctly answering and 25% of mark is deducted for incorrect attempts.
PU CET UG 2026 result declaration date is May 28, 2026. The merit list will be prepared based on 25% of weightage in the qualifying exam (class 10+2 marks) and 75% of weightage in PU CET UG exam. The cut off percentage set to rank in PU CET UG 2026 exam is set as 15% for general. There is a 5% relaxation if you are from SC/ST categories.
