- - The state of Baden Wüttemberg has a semester fee of 1700 Euros - The University has strict policies with respect to its course and might be at times difficult for students to deal with it - You might miss the final convocation ceremony the way you must have imagined
Required Exams for Admission
The University is more than what I expected. Be it with respect to course, accommodation, city etc, everything was just super. Also coming a new country with its own culture and language helps the student to come out of his/her comfort zone and also develops the soft skills.
Course Curriculum
The course is regularly updated based on the Industry trends. The exams and assignments are perfect to blend with the academics.
Faculty
The faculty are available to students on appointments and not difficult to reach out. They help even after the classes if you need any. The faculty is also having lots of tie ups with big industrial groups such as Bosch, Porsche etc. giving students the industrial project exposure.
Campus Life
- University of Stuttgart has 2 campuses. Both the campuses are widely spreaded with many student housing options - It has a supermarket, copy shop all within the campus to serve the needs of the students - Entire campus is provided with free WiFi - Sport enthusiasts are welcomed as University of Stuttgart have there own club with multiple sporting options - There are also couple of in campus bar and clubs which can be used to relax and chill.
Placement
Here you need to attend job fairs and find a job that suits best for you. The best way to find or apply for a job is via LinkedIn, Stepstone.de or direct application via the company website. With regards to Research opportunities the best way is to find a list of Professors who are currently doing research in the field you are interested in and then directly emailing them asking for any open research topics or suggesting them your topic, if you have any. In both the cases, be it job or research the average salary is 60k Euros annually.
Accommodation
The on campus rooms are all sharing. The sharing can be between 8-10 members. Students need to pay a minimal of 8-10 Euros for wifi over the monthly rental amount.
Exams
My Score: TOEFL 96/120 Min TOEFL Score : 72 My Bachelor final grade : 9.89/10 , which converts to 1.2/4 of German grading scale. Min. Bachelor score : 1.3 CV, SOP and LORs are a must. CV - It must contain all the related information nicely specified in a tabular format. SOP - Try to be 1 or 1.5 page specific. Clearly explain your motivation to join the following course and the facts which supports your reason as to why you are a fit candidate for this course. LOR - Try getting it from your Bachelor University professor and specially from the final bachelor project guide.
Fees
1700 Euros per semester. Average is 4 semesters but it might vary depending on individual needs.
