Likes
- I applied randomly for a lot of universities and particular courses among the one's I preferred. This University had so many courses I was eligible for.
- The classes and teachings. The extra curricular activities. Curriculum. Professors Student life balancing the studies and work. Not much pressure on studies rather they help mentally and gives positive responses for students.
Dislikes
- I don't dislike anything here. The only thing is the public transport here which runs few times. Other than that there is nothing wrong or anything to be disliked here.
The university is situated in ourskirts of the area and reaching there is a crucial task as public transport is only once in an hour. But you can have your private vehicle or cycle and get there easily because the whole area is small. The classes and the resources provided are very good and case studies help us get to know into subjects really good. The professors are really helpful and understanding and they help us in any way possible. All the students are extremely friendly and into activities and fun. Overall I would say the experience here is wonderful.
Course Curriculum
The university lies in Cham, which is nearby Deggendorf. They have got a lot of colleges in the area. Mostly into science, they have got enormous courses for students to study and research on. This is a practical orientated University (Hochschule) which makes it easy for students to learn with practical knowledge. They gives a lot of case studies and assignments for us to prepare and get to know into subjects. The classes are wonderful and most of thr professors are really nice. It was online until corona time and now its face to face. But sometimes it can be hybrid. The curriculum is wonderful and the subjects can be understood with a bit of effort.
Faculty
The university is upgrading and improving everytime and the number of students and faculties are increasing every semester. They are improving the teaching methods and also bringing up new advancements and technologies(lab, equipments) day by day. The students for each semester are increasing with each courses. Most of the courses are job oriented and really interesting ones. All of the faculties are making impacts on each student's life. There are also Indian professor's working in the campus and they are also really helpful.
Campus Life
The campus is occupied with great atmosphere and has wifi all around. There are a lot of buildings within the area that constitutes libraries, canteen, class rooms and so on. There are a lot of events in most of the weeks like club parties, weekend hikes, canoeing, hackathons, and so on. The university sports are also famous. Students can take part in many programs both indoor and outdoor games. They also have championships and tournaments happening.
Placement
There is no Direct placements from any of the university in germany. They assist you with career opportunities and advises to prepare cv and perform in interviews. But most all the courses are job oriented in my university so students find a job within 6 months time mostly.
Accommodation
The university has some direct connection with student dorms and hostels which you need to apply before months inorder to get a place because these stays are nearby universities and are comparatively cheaper and affordable. They also provide all facilities including bed, kitchen and private rooms which are furnished. You can also get accomodation else where where you need to either furnish most of the empty rooms or get into some other private dorms which are also for students and working young people. Some of the rooms are really expensive and have to travel long distance. They also might not have supermarkets nearby. Hence accomodation planning is one of the crucial part.
Exams
The admission requirements depends upon various factors. It requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical,mechanical, mechatronics or any of the related field. It also requires a IELTS score of 6 and above or a medium of instruction as english for the bachelors. After applying you are advised to attend an admission test which is conducted online for about an hour. It is a basic sceince(physics) and maths exam. We need to register and pay the fees for it and book a date. The results are published after two or three weeks and the performance determines the admission.. I have applied with SOP, LOR from the university and from my work place. Also applied with a CV. Having a GRE score increases the chance for the admission.
Fees
The university is free of charge for all students as it is a public university. The semester fee contribution is 72€ ( approximately Rs. 6500). This fee goes to the student union inorder to benefit students and their life.
