- The course curriculum is wide and flexible.

- Most people have to complete some bridging courses in the first semester, which won't be added to the credits. Although it helps bridge the knowledge gap, it will delay the course completion time.
Campus Life
- There is only one campus for the technical faculty, and it is fairly equipped. There is a student dorm on the campus itself. The student council of the technical faculty and the tutors of the student dorm organize various extracurricular activities throughout the year. Apart from this, other faculties at the University of Freiburg and SWFR will also organize various events.
- There is a library at the technical faculty, but there is also a big library in the city centre. There are Fraunhofer research institutes near the campus, which are a good source of potential student jobs and careers.

- The entire town of Freiburg is surrounded by the university, which has campuses spread across the town. There are libraries with built-in cafeterias, game rooms, silent rooms, computer labs and televisions for group studies.
- There are soccer fields, hockey fields, volleyball courts, table tennis tables, and party rooms for you to rent and play as part of the university team. The university arranges for enough cultural events with DJ sets or dance parties to welcome all the international students as well.

- The total fees semester-wise were 1650 euros (has increased now). Barring this, there were hostel fees, which were an average of 400 euros per month. There were 150 euros for food and 100 more for miscellaneous expenses.

- There is a team called Fachschaft that conducts extracurricular activities. There are events with music and food. Also, there are many technical events held to make students aware of the current market, trends and projects.
- There are two groups, ICM and APIS, that engage international students with different free events like hikes, knowing different cities and other fun events. APIS also provides free German courses.

- The campuses that university has are distributed throughout Freiburg, the technical faculty is in one place, which has all the engineering courses, other places have law, medical, geology, teaching, music, etc.
