From what I've experienced, college life at IP feels a lot like an advanced version of school. There's quite a bit of discipline, and attending classes is really important. On the flip side, there are tons of chances to join different college societies and get involved. I'm part of the NSS team, which offers a bunch of activities too.

The college is packed with extracurricular activities and sports options, plus there's even a swimming pool. The teachers are really supportive, and that goes for all departments, not just my political science one. The infrastructure is top-notch, probably among the best in DU, which I really appreciate. I've only been here for a short time, so I'm still learning, but this is what I know so far. Cheers!

College life in IP colleges is quite a mixed bag. For my course, Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}, the faculty is generally supportive and approachable, which makes the learning experience quite enjoyable. The curriculum covers essential subjects like accounting and management, and while the teaching is effective, it can sometimes feel a bit outdated.

The campus itself is beautiful with a vibrant atmosphere, especially during festivals like Shruti. However, the pressure of exams can be intense, especially since we have regular internal assessments. On the bright side, there are good internship opportunities and a decent placement cell, so it’s not all books and no fun!

Being a student of Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics), I can say that the college life here is quite engaging. The curriculum is rigorous, offering a good blend of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, but the workload can be overwhelming at times. The placement cell is active, and many companies come for recruitment, which is encouraging.

Moreover, the campus is lively with various events and an annual fest called Shruti that brings everyone together. However, the strict attendance policies can be a bit of a hassle, and some faculty members can be pretty tough on grading. Overall, it’s a fulfilling experience, but one needs to manage their time well!

If I had to sum it up, I'd say college life at IP is quite varied. Since it's a girls' college, the rules are a bit stricter compared to other DU colleges. I wasn't a fan of the strict attendance rules and the mandatory sports and extracurricular hours. But looking back in my final year, I realized I could have enjoyed them more instead of complaining. IP offers excellent facilities like a swimming pool and gym. There's really a lot you can do on campus! I was part of the Mass Media Course, BMMMC, and we were known for being a bit rebellious, and maybe rightly so! The resources we had in IP for our course matched industry standards. Even when I pursued my post-graduation in the same area, the infrastructure there couldn't match what IP provided.

The extracurricular societies at IP are amazing! I regret not being more involved. These societies offer bonding, confidence, and discipline that you simply can't get from regular classes. The campus is beautiful with a welcoming vibe. Sometimes, the rules can feel a bit restrictive, but that's just a part of college life.

One thing to note is that IP is very serious about attendance. They are quite strict and can be a bit rigid about it. If you don't meet the required attendance percentage, there are serious consequences. I do wish the college could handle this issue with a bit more empathy.

In IP colleges, you won't really experience the classic idea of college life. People often refer to it as "IP School for Women" because of its strict rules, especially regarding attendance. If you're looking for a fun and lively college experience, IP might not be the ideal choice. However, if your main goal is to concentrate on academics, IP is top-notch, and its great infrastructure supports that focus. Ultimately, how you enjoy your time at IP, or any college, really depends on your personality and what you're looking for.
