Ans. No need to panic, this is very common in DU admission. many round happen like 2nd, 3rd and spot round also. You just wait and keep checking the dashboard. Seat allotment depends on cuet score and preference. if seat is vacant, then the chance increases in the next round. also mid entry option sometimes comes for students.

Ques. I accept the seat but do not pay the fees in DU CAS. Will my admission be cancelled or not

Ans. yes admission is cancelled if the fees are not paid on time. After seat allotment, you must accept and pay fees before the deadline. If no action is taken, then the seat is removed and you are also out of the next round process. So always pay fees fast and confirm admission. many student lose seat because of this mistake.

Ans. Yes, you can apply from any university, no issue. You accept students from other colleges also, but you must give cuet pg exam in the same subject. admission depend on score and cutoff, not your college name. some course need specific subject for graduation, so check eligibility before applying properly.

Ques. I have low marks in graduation, can I still get msc or ma seat in DU IP College.

Ans. Yes, possible but a little difficult because admission is mainly based on CUET PG score. Graduation marks are only for eligibility, not main selection. If you score well in CUET PG, then you can get a seat. The cutoff changes every year, and some course very high competition, so prepare well for the exam.

IP College for Women Placement FAQs

Ques. I withdraw my du admission after fee payment. Can I join again in the next round

Ans. No, if you withdraw admission, then you will not be allowed in the next round. du clearly say once you withdraw, you are out from csas process, You can't come back again in the same year admission, so think properly before withdraw seat. many student do fast decisions and later regret these mistakes, so be careful always.

Ques. I filled the wrong preference order in CSAS. Will it affect my college allotment chances?

Ans. Yes, it affects a lot because seat allotment fully depends on preference order and CUET score. If you put the wrong college on top, then you may get a less preferred seat. system follow your order strictly. So always arrange the best college first, then the lower option after. Check many times before the final submission.

Ques. I did not appear in the correct subject in CUET. Can I still get admission in du course?

Ans. No you can't get admission if the subject does not match the eligibility. You require the same or a related subject in CUET that you studied in class 12. if subject is not correct, then your form is considered invalid for that course. So always check the subject requirement before the exam otherwise the admission chance becomes zero.

Ques. i upload fake certificate in CSAS. Will you check or not, and what happens

Ans. Yes du check all documents very strictly in the verification stage. If any document is found to be fake or wrong, then admission will be cancelled immediately. Even after admission, it can also be cancelled later. No refund is also given in this case. So always upload a real and correct document only to avoid a big problem.

Ques. I miss all csas rounds. Can I still get admission in DU IP College later

Ans. Yes sometimes a chance comes in mid-entry or spot round if a seat is vacant. but not guaranteed because depend on availability. You need to register again and follow the new process. competition still high in a good college. So better not miss the main round and complete all steps on time for safe admission.

IP College for Women Admissions: Students' Opinion

  • BCom
  • BA

AI-Generated Summary based on 32 Reviews

Admission to the Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.} program at Indraprastha College for Women is primarily based on CUET scores, with a competitive admission process. Students must have completed Class 12 with at least 40% marks and studied Accountancy or Maths along with three other domain subjects. The CUET scores required for top colleges in North Campus generally start from 720 and above, indicating a high cutoff for sought-after institutions.

The CUET exam, crucial for Delhi University admissions, is considered moderately difficult, demanding a thorough understanding of the Class 12 syllabus and a strategic preparation approach. Admission requires filling out the CUET application through the Samarth portal, followed by the Delhi University admission application where students submit their college preference list. Colleges are allocated based on CUET scores and preferences. Indraprastha College for Women often appears lower on preference lists but is sought after by students looking for a peaceful campus environment.

Timely score submission and preference handling are essential, as college allocation happens in the admission rounds and can impact final placements greatly. Admissions can occur across multiple rounds, with students needing to carefully manage their preference lists to avoid unexpected allocations. The process is often cited as cumbersome, requiring focus and careful planning to ensure desired outcomes.

Admission:

I've applied other top north campus college like srcc, st Stephen, hindu etc. Ipcw was on 9th in my preference list. I've just gotten this college in first seat allocation, as DU offers only one college on basis of your marks and preference list. And after i went for upgradation i got this one only. My cuet score was legging from few marks that's why i didn't get upgradation. Cuet exam is only exam you need to give to get admission in this college. And the eligibility is different for different course for eg. For eco hons you should have maths in 11-12th and should be given maths exam in cuet along with English (English is compulsory for DU) Admission process is easy for DU, you just need to be aware about process and important date for that stick to DU's official website.

I applied to both North campus and South campus colleges on the basis of their rankings. I got confirmed for a very good South campus college and thein i upgraded for the second round in which I got my current college which is in the North campus. I think I didn't make it in other colleges which I hoped I would because of the heavy completion among the students. The college is taking admission on the basis of CUET scores and there is havey competition for the seats in good colleges.

I applied for three other universities apart from DU which is Ashoka University Noida, BR Ambedkar University and BHU. So, in the application process of Ashoka, i first filled out a form which was rigourous and i got slected on the bais of that form after that i got the chance to get interviewed by well known professor of Ashoka. But unfortunately i didnt get that college. I dont understand till now that what went wrong in the interview. After that i applied in BHU i got a seat for economics hons. at its main campus but i chose DU over BHU. At last during my process of DU addmissions i applied for BR Ambedkar University and again i got a seat in eco. Hons course but when i filled my preference list for DU, i got ipcw and i accepeted my seat there. This process was long and tedious but i wanted LSR, SRCC, Hindu these colleges over ipcw but i feel like i am settled here with my friends and the enviornment and everything is going good. To get eco hons course in Du, the eligibilty is to give any three paper of your 12th class and a mandatory maths and english paper in CUET . Now after giving the exams, we have phases of rounds, first is to ligin yourself while filling out your details in smarth portal and then comes prefrence list where we need to mention the college and course. We need to rank those colleges with the course acc to your prefrence. On the basis of the cut off you are alloted with the seat. Cut offs varies with the time, cut off marks in the year 2023-24 for ipcw for eco hons.course was 650/800 for general category, for obc and ews it was around 540/800 while for sc,st students it was 450/800

To get admission in IPCW, which is a part of Delhi University, you need to give the CUET UG exam, which is conducted by NTA. Maths is a compulsory subject to get economics honours at any college of Delhi University. Apart from that, you need to appear in one language and two other domain subjects in CUET. The scores are calculated out of 1000, as each paper is of 250 marks. The second round cut-off score for IPCW Eco. Hons. for the general category was 785/1000.
