Posted On - Mar 31, 2026 IIM Udaipur and DMS, IIT Delhi both offer solid MBA programs, but when it comes to placements, DMS, IIT Delhi has a clear edge. IIM Udaipur reported an average package of around 19.5 Lakh, with some internships fetching only 10k to 15k, which can be a red flag for many. In contrast, DMS, IIT Delhi boasts a stronger brand presence and higher placement statistics, making it a more attractive option for recruiters. If you're looking for better job prospects and packages, DMS, IIT Delhi is the way to go; however, if you prioritize campus life and a more relaxed academic culture, IIM Udaipur could still be a good fit.

Posted On - Mar 30, 2026 The ROI of an MBA from IIT Delhi is often considered strong due to its relatively low tuition fees and solid placement rates. The MBA program at the Department of Management Studies (DMS) at IIT Delhi generally costs less than many of the newer IIMs. While some newer IIMs may have slightly better average placement packages, they often come with much higher tuition fees. This means that graduates from IIT Delhi can recoup their investment more quickly. Additionally, IIT Delhi benefits from a robust alumni network, strong industry connections, and the prestigious IIT brand reputation, all of which enhance internship and placement opportunities. However, the top-tier IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta still hold a more prominent brand value and typically achieve higher placement averages overall.

Posted On - Mar 17, 2026 Honestly, both IIM Udaipur and DMS, IIT Delhi have their strengths, but they cater to slightly different student experiences. IIM Udaipur offers a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and activities that really foster networking and social connections, while DMS, IIT Delhi is known for its rigorous curriculum and strong faculty, often leading to better job placements. The average package at IIM Udaipur is decent at 19.5 Lakh, but DMS tends to attract more established companies with potentially higher packages. If you value a lively campus and diverse extracurriculars, go for IIM Udaipur, but if you’re focused on strong academics and better placement prospects, DMS, IIT Delhi might be the better choice for you.

Posted On - Mar 17, 2026 If given the choice, I would recommend joining IIM Udaipur (if financial constraints aren’t an issue). If it were SJSOM or VGSOM, I would lean towards those. The reason is simple: IIT Delhi, Kanpur, and Madras DMS are considered to be in the lower tier of Tier 2 colleges for MBA. It’s better to opt for 3rd Gen IIMs if you don’t end up converting any of the 2nd Gen IIMs. Disclaimer: Having 5 years or more of experience doesn’t significantly impact whether you choose an IIM or IIT. Posted On - Mar 15, 2026 IIM Udaipur and DMS, IIT Delhi have distinct profiles when it comes to fees, ROI, and placements. IIM Udaipur charges around 22 lakhs for its MBA, with an average salary of about 19.5 lakhs, which is decent but not stellar given its new IIM status. In contrast, DMS, IIT Delhi may have a higher ROI due to its strong brand and potentially better placement packages, although specific figures for DMS are less detailed. Scholarships at IIM Udaipur seem limited mainly to reserved categories, while DMS might offer better financial support. Given these factors, DMS, IIT Delhi appears to be the smarter financial choice for students looking for a robust return on their investment, especially if you can secure a scholarship there.
