IIM UDAIPUR IS BETTER. In the latest MHRD 2017 ranking, Udaipur is at 15 and Rohtak is at 19. Both have an average fee of approximately 12.5 lakh.

The curriculum is flexible, allowing you to tailor your electives, and the faculty is good, but the placement stats aren’t as strong, with an average package of around 19.5 lakh. In contrast, while IIM Rohtak also has a solid curriculum and decent faculty, it is known for better placements, making it a more attractive option for those focused on job opportunities post-MBA. Personally, I would lean towards IIM Rohtak if I wanted stronger placement prospects, but if you value campus activities and a close-knit community, IIM Udaipur is definitely worth the fees.

I joined IIM Udaipur last year, and as I look back, I consider myself fortunate to have chosen the MBA course here. Choosing a management school is a significant decision, and it's essential to pen down your expectations and interests before evaluating the available options objectively. Placements are not the sole criterion; aspiring management students need to consider other important factors like faculty. I have been fortunate to be taught by faculty from IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, and IIMU. Global exposure is another key aspect, as over 50% of the batch at IIMU gets global exposure through student exchange programs, International Business Practice, NUS Conference, Indian Youth Delegation, International Summer Internship, and International Final Placements. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit Dubai for a consulting project on behalf of IIMU. The leadership of the institute also plays a crucial role, so it's advisable to research the key people involved.
