IIM Udaipur offers a vibrant campus life with numerous clubs and events, which is a significant draw for many students. The curriculum is flexible, allowing you to tailor your electives, and the faculty is good, but the placement stats aren’t as strong, with an average package of around 19.5 lakh. In contrast, while IIM Rohtak also has a solid curriculum and decent faculty, it is known for better placements, making it a more attractive option for those focused on job opportunities post-MBA. Personally, I would lean towards IIM Rohtak if I wanted stronger placement prospects, but if you value campus activities and a close-knit community, IIM Udaipur is definitely worth the fees.

IIM Udaipur and IIM Rohtak both have their pros and cons, but when it comes to fees and ROI, IIM Udaipur's total cost of around 22 lakhs for the MBA might feel hefty considering the placement stats, where the average package is about 19.5 lakhs, but internships can be underwhelming. On the other hand, IIM Rohtak (though I don’t have specific figures), typically benefits from a more established brand name which can translate into better placement opportunities and a potentially higher return on investment. Scholarships at IIM Udaipur are limited mostly to reserved categories, so if you're from the general category, you might miss out on that financial relief. If you're looking for a vibrant campus life and networking opportunities, IIM Udaipur shines, but for better financial viability and placement prospects, IIM Rohtak might be the smarter choice. If you prioritize brand value and ROI, go for IIM Rohtak; if campus experience and networking are your top concerns, then IIM Udaipur could be a fun fit.

I joined IIM Udaipur last year, and as I look back, I consider myself fortunate to have chosen the MBA course here. Choosing a management school is a significant decision, and it's essential to pen down your expectations and interests before evaluating the available options objectively. Placements are not the sole criterion; aspiring management students need to consider other important factors like faculty. I have been fortunate to be taught by faculty from IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, and IIMU. Global exposure is another key aspect, as over 50% of the batch at IIMU gets global exposure through student exchange programs, International Business Practice, NUS Conference, Indian Youth Delegation, International Summer Internship, and International Final Placements. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit Dubai for a consulting project on behalf of IIMU. The leadership of the institute also plays a crucial role, so it's advisable to research the key people involved.

IIM Udaipur and IIM Rohtak both have their strengths, but when it comes to placements and career outcomes, IIM Udaipur seems to have the edge. While IIM Udaipur offers an average package of around 19.5 Lakh with decent internship opportunities, IIM Rohtak, though not detailed here, is generally known for its strong alumni network and better established connections in the industry, which can enhance job prospects. If you prioritize a vibrant campus life and are okay with a slightly less established brand, IIM Udaipur is a solid choice. However, if you're aiming for potentially better placements and a more recognized brand, IIM Rohtak could be the way to go. Choose based on what aspects matter more to you in your career journey!
