From my research, DTU's B.Tech in Information Technology seems to have a stronger placement record compared to BITS Goa's BE in Mechanical Engineering. DTU boasts impressive companies like Microsoft and Nvidia visiting for placements and offers a range of internships with firms like Amazon, providing practical experience that can significantly boost your resume. While BITS Goa has a solid reputation, especially in engineering, the data on its placement specifics and internship opportunities isn't as robust as DTU's. If you're leaning towards tech and software roles, DTU might be the better choice for you. However, if you're passionate about mechanical engineering and seek a well-rounded experience, BITS Goa could still be a great option, especially if you appreciate a broader engineering perspective.

BITS for mechanical is a kind of no-no. The placements are quite dismal. The average package in BITS Pilani for mechanical will be around 4-5 lakhs only (there is no guarantee of placement), and the situation can only be worse in Goa.

For me, DTU's B.Tech in Information Technology seems like a smarter financial choice compared to BITS Goa's BE in Mechanical Engineering. DTU's fees are around 2.29 lakhs, and they offer solid ROI with companies like Microsoft and Nvidia recruiting, plus a great scholarship program for students with lower family incomes. While BITS Goa is prestigious, the cost is generally higher, and placements and internships in a specific branch like Mechanical might not match the tech-centric opportunities available at DTU. If you're leaning towards tech and want better financial returns, DTU is the way to go; for those passionate about Mechanical Engineering and willing to invest more, BITS Goa could be worth considering.

Having researched both DTU’s B.Tech in Information Technology and BITS Goa’s BE in Mechanical Engineering, I feel DTU offers a more vibrant campus life with numerous tech fests and societies for various hobbies, which makes the college experience more enjoyable. The faculty-to-student ratio at DTU is impressive, and the curriculum is geared towards practical applications, plus the placement opportunities are excellent, with top companies recruiting students. BITS Goa, while also reputable, focuses more on engineering fundamentals and might have a more rigorous academic environment. If you're leaning towards tech and a lively campus, DTU is the way to go, but if you prefer a strong engineering foundation and a slightly more traditional college experience, BITS Goa could be a better fit.

DTU B.Tech Information Technology. DTU is known for its strong reputation in engineering, particularly in the capital region, which provides a locational advantage for placements. Companies find it easier to recruit from there, leading to better placement opportunities. While I can't speak much about BITS Goa, the general trend tends to favor DTU over BITS Goa. Happy deciding! :p.
