Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Information Technology or BITS Goa BE Mechanical Engineering

While BITS Goa has a solid reputation, especially in engineering, the data on its placement specifics and internship opportunities isn't as robust as DTU's. If you're leaning towards tech and software roles, DTU might be the better choice for you. However, if you're passionate about mechanical engineering and seek a well-rounded experience, BITS Goa could still be a great option, especially if you appreciate a broader engineering perspective.

BITS for mechanical is a kind of no-no. The placements are quite dismal. The average package in BITS Pilani for mechanical will be around 4-5 lakhs only (there is no guarantee of placement), and the situation can only be worse in Goa.
