I can’t really say the DTU entrance exam is super easy, especially for an average student like me. I mean, the competition is pretty tough. You have to be well-prepared in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. I was nervous, but I focused on understanding the concepts instead of just memorizing. The exam tests your analytical skills too, so you need to practice a lot of problems.

But if you’re interested in engineering and put in the effort, you can definitely ace it. I'm in the Economics course at DTU, and I find the environment motivating!

Honestly, choosing BBA at DTU is a big decision, especially with the fees being on the higher side. But if you’re committed to a career in business, it could be worth it. The curriculum is solid, and while the faculty-to-student ratio is 1:20, many professors are good at teaching. Plus, you get to intern with big companies like Bajaj and ZS Associates, which can enhance your resume. Keep in mind, though, that placements can be tricky, as only about 30-35% of students get placed directly through the college. If you're ready to take the loan and have a plan for your future, I’d say go for it!

I’m currently in my first year of B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at DTU, and I can already see it’s a good decision. The faculty here are really knowledgeable, with many holding PhDs. The exams are a bit tough, but it keeps us on our toes. Although I haven’t explored internships much yet, I’ve heard from seniors that there are various opportunities with good stipends, like around $98k for Facebook! When it comes to placements, I know that companies like Apple and Google are regular recruiters. The last batch had about 80% placement, which is promising for us. Overall, DTU has a great environment for learning and growth.

I chose BBA at DTU because I’ve always been interested in business. The average package for BBA graduates here is about 6.5 LPA, which isn’t too shabby. The top companies that recruit us include PWC and Deloitte. Although the internship experience can vary, some students get a stipend of around 10,000 per month, while others don’t get paid at all. I think the placement cell does try hard, but honestly, not everyone gets placed. A lot of us are more focused on pursuing higher education instead.

The fees for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at DTU have changed over the years. Here’s a breakdown:

• For 2015: Rs. 99,000 for the 1st year, and Rs. 90,000 for the next 3 years.
• In 2016: The 1st year fee jumped to Rs. 1,26,000, and by the 4th year, it increased to Rs. 1,66,000.

So, it’s safe to assume that in 2017, the fees will likely see a slight increase as well!

The total fee for the MBA in Business Analytics at DTU is around Rs 2,29,000 per year. It’s a solid investment considering the practical knowledge we gain from the course. Plus, there are scholarships available for students from economically weaker sections, which is definitely helpful!

B.Des at DTU is still in its foundational years, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad choice. It’s actually a solid option! The key in design is that you can’t just memorize and regurgitate answers like in other fields. You need to put in real effort. Most students in the B.Des program at DTU are dedicated to making a difference, which will help change perceptions. The journey may be tough and challenging, but it helps you stand out from the crowd. Design offers you that chance, and DTU provides the additional opportunity to forge your own path rather than just following others.

When it comes to placements, remember that your portfolio and soft skills will speak volumes—often more than the institution's brand name. Think about it!

Currently, the cost is around 1.2 Lakhs per year, which includes Tuition Fees, Infrastructure Development Cost, Maintenance Cost, and Alumni Association Cost (and more).

Back in 2013, the fees were Rs. 75,000 for the first year, which later reduced to about Rs. 69,000 per year. The total came to approximately 2.69 Lakhs for the entire 4-year B.Tech program at DTU.

Hostel fees are Rs. 18,000 per year, plus a one-time Security Deposit of Rs. 11,000, and an advance mess bill of Rs. 10,000 for 6 months for each academic year.

DTU is a good choice if you're looking for a mix of a solid curriculum and a vibrant campus life. I'm pursuing Economics here, and I chose DTU because I was always interested in economics and history. The faculty is quite experienced, with most guest professors being JNU PhD scholars. The classes are engaging, but passing the Economics paper can be a bit tricky compared to BBA. The campus is also lively, especially during our annual fest, Engifest, which attracts many renowned artists. Overall, it feels like a good environment to grow academically.
