No. You can't really compare placements at an NIT with those at an IIT. MNNIT might showcase a 45 LPA CTC, but it's crucial to understand the components of a CTC (Fixed and Variable) and whether it includes international placements. If it was international, the USD value was simply converted and published, which can be misleading. We often overlook the cost of living in that country, the average income at a certain living/employment bracket, and what x rupees here would translate to there.

That said, MNNIT Allahabad is an excellent institute, and the CS placements there are enviable! However, keep in mind that a 45 L CTC is the highest in CSE and would typically be offered to only 1–2 students. Look at the average figures, the number of companies recruiting per student, and the number of offers per company, then compare that with IIT BHU. Many NITs boast of 1.4 Cr Google CTCs, and even DTU claims the same. Companies like EPIC Systems also offer around 150,000 USD on campus. Convert that, and you'll see what a near 1 Cr offer really means. But that doesn't imply these institutes have better placements than IITs.

IIT BHU outshines MNIT Allahabad in terms of campus facilities and placements. As far as placements are concerned, IIT BHU is superior for both B.Tech and M.Tech. I think the placements at IIT BHU for B.Tech Mining Engineering are quite impressive, but MNNIT Allahabad for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering really stands out. MNNIT has a remarkable placement record with an average CTC of 15 LPA and a high conversion rate for internships, which is crucial for career outcomes. The tech companies like Oracle and Amazon prefer MNNIT's CSE graduates, offering lucrative packages that can go up to 75 LPA. Meanwhile, IIT BHU's Mining Engineering placements might not match the same level of competition and salary prospects as CSE. So, if you're inclined towards tech and want better job/package prospects, MNNIT Allahabad is a solid choice, while IIT BHU might be better if you have a strong interest in mining and its specific career paths.

MNNIT Allahabad's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering offers a vibrant campus life with a strong peer group, and its placement stats are impressive, boasting an average CTC of 15 LPA and a conversion rate of 80-90% for internships. In contrast, IIT BHU's B.Tech Mining Engineering may not have the same level of placement success, given that placements in mining aren't as strong as in tech fields. The cultural diversity and faculty engagement at MNNIT also shine, making it a great choice for students looking for a balanced experience. Personally, I would pick MNNIT Allahabad for its robust placements and engaging curriculum, while those passionate about mining and willing to explore niche opportunities might prefer IIT BHU.

MNNIT Allahabad's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering offers strong placements with an average CTC of 15 LPA and a high conversion rate for internships, making it a lucrative option, especially considering the total fees of around 8.5 lakhs. In comparison, IIT BHU's B.Tech in Mining Engineering might have a prestigious name, but placements can be less competitive, and the specific data on fees and ROI isn't as clear. For someone looking for better financial returns and a solid career trajectory, MNNIT Allahabad stands out as the smarter choice, while those drawn to the mining sector or IIT's brand might still prefer IIT BHU for its overall prestige and networking opportunities.
