If you’re leaning towards a career in tech, NIT Surathkal is the smarter financial choice, but if civil engineering is your passion, MNNIT offers good value too, especially for those seeking a balanced college experience.

If you have the option to choose BITS Pilani, go for it! Here’s why:

• Quality of Education: Being a private college, BITS generally offers better faculty compared to MNNIT.
• Computer Science and IT at MNNIT: While MNNIT's CS and IT programs are strong in terms of academics, coding culture, and placements, the comparison still leans towards BITS.
• Placement Packages: The average package for CS at MNNIT is around 13.63 lakh, which is good, but BITS Pilani's CS average package is approximately 17-18 lakh or even more!

Keep in mind that BITS' fees are about 3-4 times higher than MNNIT, so if finances are not a concern, BITS is the way to go!

If you’re passionate about mining and its applications, then NIT Surathkal is your best bet, but for broader opportunities, MNNIT is hard to beat.
