Which one should I opt for Adamas University Kolkata B.Tech Biotechnology or Amity University Kolkata B.Tech Computer Science Engineering

Adamas University Kolkata's B.Tech in Biotechnology offers a friendly faculty and a curriculum that blends biology with technology, making it ideal for those passionate about both fields. However, the campus life has a few hiccups, like registration fees for events. On the other hand, Amity University Kolkata's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering boasts a solid faculty-to-student ratio, a robust placement record with over 90% job offers, and vibrant campus activities like Adinova fest. While both colleges provide decent internship opportunities, Amity edges ahead in overall placement support and campus engagement. Personally, I’d recommend Amity University if you're leaning towards tech and job readiness, while Adamas would be great if you want a mix of biology and technology with a more personal faculty approach.

Both Adamas University Kolkata for B.Tech in Biotechnology and Amity University Kolkata for B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering offer solid prospects, but Amity edges ahead in terms of placements and internship opportunities. Amity has a well-structured career development cell that helps students secure industry placements from the 7th semester, boasting a high success rate. While Adamas provides internship recommendations, the lack of personal experience in securing one makes it slightly less appealing for immediate job readiness.

If you're leaning towards tech and programming, Amity's Computer Science path seems to promise better job packages, whereas Adamas would be a great fit if you’re passionate about blending biology with technology.

I graduated from Amity University Kolkata with a B.Tech in Biotechnology (2017–2021). After graduation, I cracked GATE-BT with a rank of 27 and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree from IIT Kharagpur. Generally, I would recommend Amity for a B.Tech only if you're considering a PhD in the future. The placements are usually quite poor, and the same goes for biotechnology in IIT. So, unless you aim for a PhD, studying biotechnology may not be worth it, as job opportunities are limited and often low-paying.
