How do the placements really compare between Adamas University Kolkata B.Tech Biotechnology and Amity University Kolkata B.Tech Computer Science Engineering?

In my opinion, Amity University Kolkata's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering has a clearer edge in terms of placements and job prospects compared to Adamas University Kolkata's B.Tech in Biotechnology. Amity has a robust career development cell that prepares students for placements from the 7th semester, and they have a strong track record with over 90% placement for those who apply. Adamas, while offering good faculty and internship recommendations, seems less focused on direct job placements, and many students opt for higher studies instead. If you're keen on immediate job opportunities and tech-related careers, Amity would be the better choice, while Adamas might suit those interested in research or further studies in biotechnology.

When it comes to placements and packages, the answer is definitely No.

I graduated from Amity University Kolkata with a B.Tech in Biotechnology (2017–2021). After graduation, I secured a GATE-BT rank of 27 and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree at IIT Kharagpur. Generally, I would recommend Amity for a B.Tech only if you're considering a PhD in the future. The placements are typically dismal, and the same goes for biotechnology in IIT. So, unless you aim for a PhD, studying biotechnology may not be worthwhile due to limited and low-paying job opportunities.
