LPU's B.Tech in Automobile Engineering offers decent placement opportunities with an active placement department, but the internship scenario is somewhat restrictive since you can only start internships from the third year and are limited to summer internships until then. In contrast, Parul University's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is likely to have better overall job prospects given the booming tech industry, with more flexible internship opportunities and a greater demand for computer engineers. If you're looking for solid career outcomes and more immediate internship experiences, I'd recommend Parul University. However, if you have a strong passion for automobiles and are willing to navigate the placement process at LPU, that could also be a good fit.

LPU's B.Tech in Automobile Engineering offers a vibrant campus life with diverse clubs and activities, which is a huge plus if you're looking for a well-rounded experience. The curriculum starts with foundational subjects and progresses to specialized topics, but the internship restrictions can be a downside. On the other hand, B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at Parul University likely has a more technology-focused environment, which can lead to better placement opportunities in the booming tech industry. If you’re passionate about automobiles and want a lively campus life, LPU is the way to go. However, if you're leaning towards software and tech, Parul University might be a better fit for you. Personally, I’d pick LPU for its community and overall experience, but I’d recommend Parul for those aiming directly at tech careers.

It's safer to pursue a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering rather than Automobile Engineering. It's better to learn about Automobile Engineering alongside a Mechanical degree. Basically, 85% of the syllabus content is the same.

B.Tech in Automobile Engineering alone is often not sufficient for entering the industry, and there are very few job openings for graduates in this field. Campus placements are also quite limited.

Spending time at service centers after completing a B.Tech is not going to help you break into the industry.

It's worth consulting someone already working in the industry as well.

I still don’t understand why so many colleges offer B.Tech in Automobile Engineering, apart from the well-established ones that have good campus placements.
