My College through my eyes

Our college is situated at the end of the Kalyani University between the green woods. The students of our college enjoying the atmosphere of our college very much. I think this environment is ideal for study and very healthy also. We,the students can study peaceful in the middle of the pleasant nature.

The course known as B. Tech is quite difficult as well as very interesting. It has much practical applications which grows students interest. The examination process is semester based. Every year two semester examinations are held. As B. Tech is a 4 years course so student have to give total eight semester examinations during the course.

Job and placement opportunities are very good. Every year some reputed companies come to our college and conduct the placement. Every year around 70% students from our college have been places in different companies with good CTC package. Besides that in off campus drive some students are placed. Our college don't provide internship offer or any kind of stipend but they conduct vocational training for students in free of cost so that financially backward students can take training in free of cost.

There are so many events and cultural programmes are celebrated in our college. To welcome and interact with the 1st year students every departmental seniors organise Departmental Freshers for every department. Every event of our college has a different name. Union Freshers named 'PLEXUS' held where all the 1st year students of all departments are welcomed by the Union of the College. Here the 1st year students can interact with all the seniors of all departments. In the middle of February the college Fest named 'ESPEKTRO' is held which devided into two parts Tech Fest and Cultural Fest. Here all the students of our college gladly participate in all event. Students from different colleges comes to take part in the Tech Fest. In Cultural fest our students perform in cultural programmes and also some famous Band and artists and play back singers come to perform in our cultural fest.

It is a Government college so the fee structure is very cheap. We have total five brunches in our college. The fee structure varies Departmentwise. The fees are finite for every semester. If one semester fees is due the students have to clear the fees along with next semester fees with Rs. 10 Fine.

I don't know about any scholarships or loan facilities offered by our college to the students. I am not familiar about this kind of activities. In case there is any its completely confidential and the offical or administrative authorities takes the decision accordingly.

Apart form study the our college student take part in different extra curricular activities. There are sports club, music club, coding club, web development club, technical club, robotics clubs are present in our college. The members of these clubs participate in their according fields efficiently. Besids that the college authority organise student-teacher football match in our college ground every year. There is a big seminar hall in our college where different seminars are held for the students from different department. The labs are excellent in our college. The new apparatus and technologiesare used in labs so that the students can learn practically and implement it in their own study.

Hostel facilities are very good in our college. There are total five hostels in our college among them one girls hostel and rest of four are boys hostel. The hostels are situated in our college campus. The hostel students are very much active in any kind of activities.

The alumni network and the senior junior relationship is very friendly. The alumni plays a major role in organising the cultural fest. They use their contacts and manage the sponsorship,funding to make college fest successful. The current students gives their every possible effort for grand success of the fest. The seniors are very helpful to juniors in case of study helping them with books and in other situations where the juniors can't figure out what to do the seniors guide them and help them to find out their way.

At 1st you have to sit for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and then if we got rank within 3000 then you can get admission in my college. As it is a government college so only top percentile students can get the admission in their preferred brunches. After the closing the admission in Jadavpur University the students of top percentile in West Bengal can get admission in Kalyani Goverment Engineering College.

The faculty of our college of each amd every department are very helpful. They always help students in their studies and in case of any difficulties or any query they also manage their schedule and organise some doubt clearing classes to help the students. The faculty makes all subjects very easy by their efficient teaching.
