GMC AURANGABAD is a premier institute in Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It has given many talented doctors to our country. Overall environment in our college is good. There is healthy competition which keeps us motivated.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum of GMC AURANGABD is excellent. Lectures and practicals are regular. 'Anatomy' which is called the 'Heart' of first year MBBS is taught in best way possible. Discipline is maintained in dissection halls. GMC AURANGABAD has one cadaver among 10 students. Hematology laboratory of our college is really good. All the practicals like RBC COUNT, WBC COUNT, Determination of blood group, etc are demonstrated properly first and then all the students are supposed to perform these practicals. All the practicals are performed in proper way in the lab.

Placement Experience

GMC AURANGABAD provides internship of one year in GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, AURANGABAD (GHATI HOSPITAL). Students work very hard during their internship period. They have clinical postings in different different wards such as Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Gynecology, etc. As it is a government hospital there are ample no. of patients and students learn a lot about clinical practice as a doctor in this one year of internship. Monthly stipend during this internship period consists of about Rs.10,000-12,000.

College Events

celebrates various events largest of them being annual gathering which consists of Cultural activites. Performing arts like Singing, Dancing, Dramas, Musical Dramas, Instrumentals are performed by students with active participation in 3 days of this event GMC AURANGABAD is filled with Joviality. Even teachers participate in all this to some extent. Apart from this there are various events like : Mismatch Day Saree day Twinning Day Bollywood day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of GMC AURANGABAD is feasible in comparison to other medical institutions, especially private and deemed medical colleges. Fee for Open category students for 1st year 2019 is Rs. 99110.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides EBC facility for Open Category students. EBC facility is for students whose families have annual income below 8 lacks. To apply for EBC you must have income certificate of your family or either of your parents. With EBC facility fees almost reduces to half of the original.

Campus Life

College encourages extracurricular activities, mainly Cultural activities. Labs are fully equipped. Every student is provided his own microscope in hematology lab. Biochemistry lab is recently renewed.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. There is disciplined and proper execution of work. Seniors in GMC Aurangabad are helpful with academics. They share their experiences with students and are supportive. Seniors advice us about reference books and various intercollegiate opportunities.

Admission

To get an admission in GMC, Aurangabad you have to score above the cut off in NEET-UG. I scored 566/720 in NEET 2019 with AIR 4781 and SML(State merit list rank) 266. You have to register on www.mahacet.org. All the procedure till college allotment are online procedures. Once you are allotted a seat in GMC,Aurangabad, you have to fill the college form and submit all required Original documents. Required documents and procedure for admission in college are mentioned on official website www.gmcaurangabad.com. Fees is submitted as DD in the name of Dean,GMC AURANGABAD. Fess amount varies according to which category you belong to : OPEN, OBC, SC, ST, VJ, NT.

Teaching faculties are have helping nature, some of them are be strict but they are always ready to solve students' doubt. Teachers in our college teach with the help of both E-learning methods and black boards. They encourage students and support to participate in different intercollegiate quiz competitions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course because I wanted to become doctors from most prestigious college of India. I didn't get seat in AIIMS Delhi so then I choose this college as it is near my home town. The students faculty ratio is 70:12. All the faculty are passed out doctors so they are highly qualified and they teach us in such a way that no need to ask for any doubts. The university conducts exams after every 3 months and we all have to work very hard to pass the exams.
