Structure and Timing Structure: The Level I exam consists of 240 multiple choice questions, split between two 3-hour sessions. Candidates must attend both sessions. Timing: On average you should allow approximately 90 seconds for each multiple choice question.

The department initiates Curricular and co-curricular activities periodically to tap out the latent potentials of the students. Various academic workshops and conferences are conducted periodically to equip them and train them to have ingenuity and achieve excellence in academics and inspire them towards research. Singers, writers, dancers, musicians, actors… everyone has their moment under the sun in Karunya. Apart from clubs such as KALA, Journalism club, Photo and Video Club etc. focussing on extra-curricular activities, students also have the opportunity of doing their bit for the society. With programmes such as Karunya Outreach, students get a chance to go to the nearby villages and teach children and share in their small yet significant moments of joy and happiness.

There are 12 hostels in total for both boys and girls. The hostels have good infrastructure and it's neat. The hostel fee for a semester is INR 20000. There are no PGs outside college. Only hostel facilities available. The food is very good. They have varied menus TN, Kerala, Andhra, North Indian, and International mess are available and they give healthy and balanced food. The fee for a semester I.e. for 6 months is INR 15000. Quality of classrooms and labs are very good. Libraries are 24/7 air conditioned. Dining halls are neat and clean. Wi-Fi is available 24/7.
