Remarks
The uniqueness of this college is the campus life. If you are a nature lover, then you would totally fall in love with the campus. Placement opportunities are adequate enough. Overall, the college has a very good reputation and is one among the top colleges in the state.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very unique. The course is relatively new and experimental, but the results are encouraging. The curriculum is very modern and updated while still remaining through with regards to the traditional curriculum. The prescribed books are educative and entertaining. Exams were conducted as per the University pattern i.e. 3 Internals and External for a Semester
Placement Experience
The college does have placements and job opportunities.There are student representatives for each class who will coordinate with the professor-in-charge and provide information to their classmates about job opportunities. During the 4th semester holidays (Dec 03rd to Jan 03rd) the students will be assigned for internships and credits will be given accordingly.
College Events
The college has three residence halls for men and three for women. All the halls celebrate there own separate fests through out the year. The college has Auditions at the beginning of the academic year to form teams for inter-college competitions. All the departments have their own fests and one huge college fest called Deepwood.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The courses are separated into morning and evening shifts. The morning shift is government aided and therefore the fee structure is more feasible. Whereas the evening shift is self-financed and therefore more expensive. To be noted, the morning shift is difficult to get into.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a fair amount of scholarships available for minorities and backward classes and quite a few available based on merit. There are various scholarships for students of the college. Minority scholarship scheme, SC/ST scholarship scheme, etc.
Campus Life
The infrastructure was indeed the best. MCC is special for its forest-like structure, that's the reason why we call it as 'Heaven On Earth'. Every classroom can hold to a minimum of 100 students. There were also lounges for women students with great facilities. The clinic is available on the campus. Miller library is one of the best libraries you could ever find in a college. It's a Big library with WiFi, restroom, internet, audio, video sections and indeed it has a wide range of books in all disciplines. Nobody could raise a question about the quality of labs, classrooms and even food available in the canteen. We've won the award from the University Grants Commission for our excellence in infrastructure
Hostel Facilities
The college boasts residential halls instead of hostels as all residence halls are managed by the students. There are three halls for men and three for women, each with its own proud history and traditions. The facilities and the food are decent (as far as I have heard).
Admission
Everything is online. I just uploaded the marks and after a few days i received a call from my college. Then i came here for enrollment and the fee payment is also online. The enrollment procedure will take little bit of your time but its worthy to wait for this heavenly life in MCC.
Faculty
The faculty is amazing. All of the professors are well read and genuinely enjoy the subjects that they are teaching us. They are very friendly and welcoming. Majority of the classes are quite enjoyable and we often look forward to it. We even had classes to improve our personality which helps us to lead a moral life. At last, they proved the saying 'GENTLEMEN OF MCC'. Joined in as a clay, but they molded us into an art.
