Remarks
It was highly strict, Some level of strictness created a good form of discipline like punctuality for example but they overdid it by rules like usage of cell phones was banned, even though being a Co-ed, if a girl and guy is found to be sitting together in a class, even if they are studying, they might face trouble. They had VB(Vigilance Body) students who used to patrol for any breaking of rules. I just felt that these things were too much
Course Curriculum Overview
The course given by Mumbai University was revised and the syllabus was changed in 2016 when I wanted to enroll and they changed it into a better needed version for computer science making it solely about technology and Math. The exam structure in royal college were semester exams and prelims in the 5th and 6th semester.
Placement Experience
For my degree, College does not provide any job opportunities in the college campus but our TPO always managed to keep us updated about placements and pool campus happening in any college in Mumbai. Although college do provide placements for some degree courses.
College Events
There is just one event called "GyanManthan" in the college celebrated as an Intra-College Event in regards to which we have an IT tech event. It is a small event with few people participating, but fun nonetheless.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is completely feasible the college does not charge any extra fees except the tuition fees and miscellaneous, They are honest in terms of the charges and tend to ask for only what's required.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college faculty used to always mention of the upcoming scholarships given by any foundation or government. They also have part payment system in which you can pay half of the fees while taking the admission and the other half by the end of first semester.
Campus Life
We had a sports day which included Sprint Races, Cycle Race, Marathon etc and even indoor games like table tennis and Carrom. They were fun overall. I am aware of the IT lab and it was maintained thoroughly
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni used to have seminars for our course and they tried to tell us their experience and guide us through the course, This was held almost every semester and it was somewhat helpful and interesting
Admission
I was late for admission for B.Sc Computer science in royal college, as I was first in Jai hind but they decided not to keep computer science as the portion was changed, I applied for the admission in late July. Since there were few seats left they considered my application and told me to speak to the principal before they could accept me in. I did so and was accepted.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is strict, experienced and disciplined although due to the new portion most of the IT staff had issues getting along with it and most importantly teaching it to the students
