Jadavpur University has one of the largest library in West Bengal there are lots of journals, books, encyclopaedia. Computer science in this university is one of the best in the country so if you got to get CS branch then don't hesitate to take it.

As jadavpur University is a autonomous that's why it's course curriculum is little bit different from other colleges of the country. But it is not a thing of worry because all the technical subjects came in first year itself whereas in other colleges all the technical subjects start from second year which is I think good.

All the professors will help you to get an internship at their reference place and also placements of jadavpur University are one of the best in the country where package ranging from 4lpa-40lpa has been recorded in my passing year.

Is jadavpur University is a autonomous so their own students Union which is Fetsu( faculty for engineering technology students Union) organises all the cultural events, sports events in the college. Every 2-3 month there will be one cultural event which is medium large in scale in OAT( open air theatre)

Fee structure of this university make this college unique among all as it has one of the lowest fee structure among all the colleges in the country. My semester fee was only rs.1224. students Union of jadavpur University always resist for fee hike so that all the poor students can afford this university.

As jadavpur University has one of the lowest fee structure but for the students who has problem in paying accommodation and mess charges they also provide some scholarship through some external agency like ffe etc which can be applied only in in first year.

There is a playground in jadavpur university where every student plays cricket football and all the other games and every year sports events are also conducted in the university where everyone can participate and the students who are staying in in hostels there separate events also conducted.

Hostel charges for jadavpur University are also minimal like 25 per month for accomodtion and electricity bill and some mess charges for food which will be according to budget of the mess ranging from 1500-2500.

Student have to take West Bengal joint entrance exam. In this exam toppers can take admission in jadavpur University. If rank is below 200 then they can also get computer science and if less than thousand can get this university.
