Remarks
Positives of the college depend on the type of students. For example -college is strict with exams (good for studious one bad for back benchers). Attendance of 75% is mandatory (fine if failed to do so). Good green campus with mostle operated on solar energy instead of generatiors. Well equipped bosch and semens labs. College will not support u in ur backlogs and are really tough nut to crack. It is also far from main city(approx 15 km) however city is not expensive and u will keep enjoying even at low budgets.
Course Curriculum Overview
There will be eight semesters. Even semesters in the month of November-December and odd ones in the month of may-June. Each semester will have 5 papers and 3-4 labs. Each paper has a different credit score according to the difficulty level and branch. The college is fully autonomous (ie question papers are set and conducted withine the institution). The first year of college have same papers for all branches.
Placement Experience
Placement depend on many factors. However placements are good compared to colleges of same level. Some top recruiters are -infosys, wipro, cognizent, capgemini, bosch rexroth, voltas. If u r attentive enough to attend classes and taking engineering seriously, u will end up getting a job.
College Events
Some of the events arranged are as follows:- 1-diwali nights 2-celegance(fest) 3-athelatics week 4-freshers parties 5-farewells 6-dristi film festival Celengance are conducted in the month of feb (generally) and are of 2 days including fashion show, dance, DJ, live performances, fun games, awards etc Fresher and farewell parties are organised by respective branches.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is approx 1.36 lakhs per year for academics and other approx 70 thousand for hostel and mess(optional). Considering the college, fees is decent. U can apply for scholoship as well. College fees includes ssepl fees (a soft skill program like English course from bec (Cambridge university programmer), bosch automation &semens automation(EE, EEE, ETC, AI, MECHANICAL), CDAC (for cs, IS, IT).
Fees and Financial Aid
U can apply for college scholoship or state scholorship based on ur marks. Better the marks more the chances of getting scholoship. College will provide scholarship to those students who have more marks throughout the academics and who have not availed benefit from government.
Campus Life
There are good labs available in college which are part of education. Basketball court, badminton court, cricket and football grounds are available too. U can play snooker, chess, dance, guitar and photography classes are alsi available. There is also a swimming pool and gym in the college with instructors.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accommodation would cost u around 70k per year. It include a bed in 3 sharing room. U can get 2 or single sharing room too with a significant increase in price. Food is average with 3 time availability. Bathroom are common of each wing and free WiFi will be provided. Girls hostel have 4 sharing rooms. Girls hostel come will outstanding facilities with same price (its the best college girls hostel in whole Bhubaneswar colleges with inbuilt gym badminton court washing machines, fridge etc).
Alumni/Alumna
There is a good ambiance in the college regarding junior and senior students.campus is strictly ragging free. However I would recommend you to behave properly will seniors and everything will be outstanding. Each year have different dress codes and colors (dress is mandatory). Most of students leave hostel after 1st year and resides in local places(not girls). So you will come to meet seniors in campus only and that too is not frequent.
Admission
U can apply for ojee and u may be shortlisted to specified branch according to ur rank in jee mains. The other way around is management Kota. Contact directly to college and avoid counselor as they will charge hefty amount.
Faculty
Faculties are decent (not too good though except a few) college is strict about attendance and exams. They are helping to the course related queries. I would recommend you to be prepared for reading of ur own rather than just being dependent on teachers.
