I can say you should take admission in this institute if you are planning to study tourism because it is a government organization and also premier in the country. Placement of this institute is very good and students from this institute get good package in the industry.

Travel and tourism is 2 years full time course or you can say classroom study. The two year program also include 15 days adventure trip and 2 months summer internship and exam are on semester basis along with internal exams.

Iittm is known for 100 percent placement and job opportunities because it is a premier institute and all the big players of the market visit this institute for skilled employees. Yes this college provide internship and also you are free to chose by own if you dont want to go through institute. I have done my internship in icpb at delhi and i got placed in irctc.

This college celebrate disha as a freshers party in which there are so many events group or individual one can participate in, it also celebrate world tourism day as it is a tourism institute. Directors meet also organise by institute every year when directors or vc of premier institutes come here for conference. And other events like photography, sports meet and other activities.

Fee is very nominal as it is government institute, this institute is now affilated with i g n t u so the two year mba program is very much cheap with other private institutes, also if you see yourself after two years after completion of your course the fee you have paid will not stand either.

There is no any facility of scholarship but if you fall in any reserve category you can claim upto 80% of your paid fee from the government in which staff of institute helps. There are so many banks who are ready to give educational loan, pnb is one among which provide educational loan at the time of admission in campus.

Computer lab and library is one of the primery things any institute must have, library of iittm is equiped with many books of national and international authors. Computer lab is also one of primery thing and this college is one of the finest lab i must say. Apart from this there is a huge ground in which you can play foot ball cricket and also there is a seperate court for volleyball and badminton. It has billiards and gym facility for students.

I did not opted for hostel, i was day scholar,. But there are four hostels in the campus out of which one new building is for girls and 3 buildings are for boys. There is separate mess facility for boys as well as girls.

Being as a premier institute there is a good network of alumni who are all across the country working in all the leading tourism organization, you will find iittm product at all the level in all the leading tourism organization. All the seniors are very helpful start from the campus and in organization.

You can go through cat/mat or tat, then after group discussion and personnel interview. On the basis of that merit list will be prepared and you will be allotted the college on the basis of your rank.

As iittm is as well known tourism institute of ministry of tourism government of india, hence the faculty working there are highly professional as well as well experienced. One will get exposure of tourism and travel industry as well as general awareness.
