College information

Theinfrastructure of the college is amazing.the college is very very big.Tge management of the college is not up to tge mark.it needs time and talking about faculties,they are least experienced and also the strengh of the college is aroud 30000 and only 2 big authority are their to look after the students welfare i.e the department of students welfare has only 2 big authority to look after 30000 students.Moreover 75% attendence is madatory if u are able to maintain your attendence u will be debarred and have to pay rs8500 for each subject.College is very far from Chandigarh around 30kms so those who want to join CU should not consider Chandigarh as location.Gharuan is the prper location of the college. This was a mistake made by me and lots of students who have taken admission here.The name of University is Chandigarh University but ist really far from Chandigarh.

Course is good but the faculties are without any experience.About the exam structure, there are two mid sem exams and one semester final exam which is held in different blocks than usual working days.

Placements and job opportunities are good.College does not provide with intern but gives training on a particular area like programming languages C,C++, Java,Python.But for placements and jobs, one should have good cgpa score.

Freshers party is organized every year for freshers and many events are happening now and then.Most celebrities come to college for shooting and also to address students.Workshops are organized for carrer planning.dj night is arranged for students to enjoy.And ofcourse the traditional festivals are celebrated.There is Anual day which is celebrated with full fun and is a memorable day for college.Engineering day is celebrated by arranging some competitions based on engineering field.

fee structure compared to other private engineering colleges is feasible.Its not too mch.Middle class family can afford to admit their children in this university.Moreover hostel accomodation is good i.e adjustable and hostel fees is very feasible to aroung 90000 a year and 69500 tuition fees oer semestsr for cse courses and 85000 for cse Ibm

i didnt avail for a loan or any scholarship but yes our college do provide with these facilities. Talking about scholarsgips above 90% scoring students get scholarship of 20-50% and about the loan one should make sure he/she nevers gets a backlog or else the loan would be cancelled by the bank.Same fir scholarships if the student doesnt maintain a SGPA or CGPA of 7.5 his/her scholarship would be cancelled. Moreover tbe Sc/st/obc get scholarship.If one belongs to the north-east Seven sister,then again he/she will get scholarships.

Facilities are provided.Labs are well eqipped with pc's and internet connection but the faculty or lab trainer are worst.They just time pass and let the students do whatever they want to on the internet.Even the marking of practicals are done partially.Talking about sports, there are various sports played in here and there is good opportunity for sports in this college as students get selected for states,national and international level for representing college.

i have stayed in hostel for around 1.5 years and i felt good.campus hostels are fine but the outside campus hostel i.e city hostel is amazing. Made lot of memories their.Hostel food is okay but one might get boored eation the same diet every week.So ya online food delivery is allowed in every hostel and if on some day u dont feel like eating the hostel food can order food online.Inside campus their are lots of food stalls and restaurants where one can eat.rooms are good and is provided with one cooler.there are 2,3,4 seater hostels so u can choose as per your requirements.

Yes there are Alumni coordinators of every block who keep track of the alumnis of the college and also conduct alumni meet every year so that they address the students motivate them and share their experiences with the students.

I called the university for seat availability.They called me directly for admission without any formality and my admission was done very quickly.They just needed the documents and the installment.College have a criteria of 60% in PCM but were giving admissions to every one who came for admission.

Faculties are least experienced in terms of teaching and many teachers are without the proper subject knowledge.Teachers are students themselves.Its like those teachers are having internships and are literally unable to clear the doubts and problems of students.
