Life in KGEC (Kalyani Govenrnment Engineering College)

My remarks for the college is somewhat good, I think our college will become better and bigger. Teachers are good, infrastructure is not so good but will surely become better with time.Social Environment is good in our College.

Course Curriculum is good, I won't say best in order to praise my college. Talking about Exam Structure - 1) 2 internal are taken in a whole Semester. (Marks vary according to teachers) 2) The final Exam of 70 marks in each paper.

Lets talk about the average placements over the past few years. TCS, Wipro, CTS comes to our college every year and takes ample amount of students.This year in CSE final year almost everyone got placed. TCS NInja offered 3.6 lpa. TCS Digital offered 7 lpa (approx). Now there are some individual talents who got into Google and Microsoft with their own outstanding talents.(without the help of college).

"Espectro" in the biggest cultural and tech fest of our College. It is celebrated with huge extravagance and well known musicians and artists come every year.Shirley Setia came in 2016. This event is held in March of every year.

As it's a Government College the fee are very much feasible. You will grab BTech Degree with just 50,000 -80,000 in a four year time. basically they take RS 6000 as fee in every six months.If you fall under reservation, then you can easily get a half fee waiver or a full fee waiver by applying through a form.

Yes our college gives away various scholarship opportunities if you fall under reserved cast. One of my friend gets 10000 per year as a scholarship amount. Apart from that there are various competitions held through which you can get Scholarships.

Yes, we play a lot in evening, football, cricket, batminton etc.During Espectro various sports events are also held.There are various singing and dancing clubs which one can join for extracurricular activities.But our college don't have a Gym.

In past few years the alumni support has increased a lot in our college, with some placed in Google and Microsoft. Apart from that there are alumnies in ISRO and various PSU's. There are many alumnies in TCS.

This College takes admission through merit lint of WBJEE. If someone wants to get in CSE Department then he or she should rank between 1200 - 3000. My rank in WBJEE was 2087 and I was not getting CSE in this college, so I joined JGEC(Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College),then after 1 month of joining there was a Spot Counselling hosted at WBJEE office in Kolkata. In sopt counselling I secured a place in CSE Department of this college.

Ok talking about CSE faculty, it has got some of the best teachers who are very friendly with students in solving their doubts.But some pressurises with huge assignments and tough Internals. There are some teachers who are great in their Field of Study.
