Remarks
Faculty is amazing. The extra curricular activities are good. Sports is very nice. Canteen food is okay not so good. Course curriculum is very bad. Some practical and application based curriculum should be introduced. Placements are very bad. Mira's should bring some of the big companies for a good job role like Business analyst, Research analyst, or Financial analyst etc
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is not so good. We didn't have Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematical Economics or any practical and maths related subjects. We had only theory. Maths and Statistics is very important for Economics but we didn't have these as our subjects. There was no applications in the Economics subjects, just the theory, no maths in it.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are not so good here. No big companies come here. Most of the companies come here for BPO role. No good roles or positions are offered as Companies are not so good. Placement cell is also not good.
College Events
Events celebrated in our college are Mira Bazaar, Exodus, there are sports events like basketball, Taekwondo, self defence. There are debates, quiz competitions, poster making competition, ganpati making competition, maths competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. A normal common middle class person will be able to pay the fees. It's not at all expensive. It's affordable. All types of people come there. The crowd in college is comprised of all sections of society. The crowd is mixed. So fees is according to that, so even a middle class or a lower income person can also afford it.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship on the basis of merit. If one has a good rank with merit then the scholarship is given. There are loan facilities as well available for students. The college fees is not so high, but still it provides scholarship.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities in our college are Mira Bazaar, Exodus, there are sports events like basketball, Taekwondo, self defence. There are debates, quiz competitions, poster making competition, ganpati making competition, maths competitions. They are good but not very good as was expected.
Hostel Facilities
I am from Pune so have got my own house to stay. I stay with my family so I haven't applied for hostel. So can't give information about the hostel infrastructure and facilities. But I have heard from friends that hostel facilities are good.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is good. Seniors are very helpful. They give us their notes so that we can refer to their notes. One can also ask them their doubts. We organise the events with our seniors. We almost do all the events with seniors.
Admission
I got admission on direct basis. I had to fill the online form on it's website, take a printout of the form and submit the form in college and pay the fees. This is how the admission process took place.
Faculty
College faculty is amazing, very very helpful, they are less of teachers and more of friends to students. Ready to help always. Faculty is very knowledgeable. Very kind faculty. Faculty are always available to clear the doubts.
