Remarks

It's way better than many private college but you can't compare with AIIMS, New Delhi or PGI Chandigarh. They are one of the best. Government in a way without increasing the resources is increasing the intake capacity from 100 to 150.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS a professional course of 5 and half years including 1 year of compulsory internship in which you are entitled to a stipend. Exams in this course are held every year.Duration of 2nd year is 1.5 year rest being 1 year. You have to study a total of 19 subjects. You have to study a lot throughout the year with intense postings and lectures extending to evening teachings.

Placement Experience

5

As everyone knows the doctor to people ratio in UP is approx 18000 which according to WHO must not be more than 1000. So job opportunities are plenty. As mentioned earlier regarding compulsory internship of 1year you are also entitled to stipend which presently in UP state medical colleges is 7000 approx. In different states it varies. We regularly plead the government to increase it.

College Events

4.5

Every year during December a grand Sports & Cultural Fest is organised by the students. As there are a total of 5 batches of 100 per batch including interns. So an amount of Rs.1500 is collected per student. Saraswati Puja is organised every year by students. As being a medical college studies are a priorty.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college fee structure is quite feasible amounting Rs.45000 approx for a year. One needs to pay this some for 5 years. One can get scholarship depending upon his financial status. As a report says that government bears approx 48 lakh and 2 lakh is borne by the student while a person in government medical college pursues MBBS.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, UP state government provides scholarship to all those who are financially weak. Fee structure pattern varies for general category & reserved category students. And accordingly one gets the scholarship also.

Campus Life

2.5

One's life is incomplete without extracurricular activities. It all depends on your wish. Labs and all are not so very rich with instruments. Our college is asia's largest campus. So the sports ground is also quite good in size.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted for the hostel. Hostel infra is quite ok. It's in an old school way. Washroom facility is common. Air conditioner is not allowed. We get RO water. Rest are facilities are 3 out of 5. Again I'll mention it's a government college.

Alumni/Alumna

One cannot complete MBBS without the aid and advise of seniors. Extremely helpful and supportive, guide you and away from home they are like your elder brothers and sisters. Ragging has been completely banned.

Admission

I cleared NEET-UG entrance exam in 2016 in which I got 508 marks and All India Rank 6000 and as I belong to UP state so through 85% state quota state rank was prepared which was 900. And through UP state counselling procedure I was first allocated Government Medical College Azamgarh in 1st round of counselling and in the 2nd round it was upgraded to M.L.B.Government Medical College Jhansi.I would wish to highlight that I could not get any college through my All India Rank.

Faculty

4.5

It's great but being a government medical college it lacks in the facilities provided. No of faculty members required per department are also not adequate. Otherwise faculty helps you a lot and their experience is also very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The profession I'm in is medical. The toughest of all. As from the starting I wished to be a doctor. The one who is second to a God. The one who is respected the most. The one who does the most prestigious job. As per the curriculum we have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years plus we have to attend the clinical posting in hospital , which exposes us to real world. The posting time is the time given to students from second year till year last. Improvement can be done in passing the exam part which is 50% in each subject. It can be 40 % marks. Currently I've given my MBBS second year which was hectic because of the vast syllabus. We have total of 5.5 year course for an undergraduate degree. Out of which 4.5 years is about studies rest one year is internship in hospital. We have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years. The mbbs course is very lengthy. Each and every subject is very vast. So we have to study maximum time. So all the very best those who aspire to be a great doctor

Which help a lot The term exams were very difficult and passing them was even more difficult. In one exam out of 100 student only 13 passed.
